[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son's rat, Jerry, was hesitant at first when I put some of the Oxbow mouse and young rat food in a lid for him to try. Once he sensed the smell of the treats, he finally eased up on it and took a small piece first which he enjoyed nibbling on. Eventually, all the treats were eaten by him. This rat food contains speciality nutrition and the facts are on the back of the bag. Also, the ingredients have the recommended daily vitamins and minerals. Since feeding it to Jerry, he seems to have more energy and his fur is healthier looking than the dull gray before trying this product. It is recommended by veterinarians and the shelf life has a good longevity period. Since my son's rat loves this treat, I will purchase more.

The texture is perfect to attract the animals and the scent isn't too strong where it causes an odor. I think this product is a great addition and is super effective on what the brand stands by!

Most mouse food pellets are small bite-size pellets, but Oxbow's individual pellets eat like a meal. A single pellet dwarfs those of competitor brand pellets. It was obvious that they were a new favorite of my pet house mouse from the trail of partially gnawed pellets from his food bowl to his house.
