OXO Soft-Handled Can Opener

I’ve tried plenty of can openers over the years, but the OXO can opener stands out as the very best. From the moment you pick it up, you can feel the difference... the handles are soft, comfortable, and offer a secure, no-slip grip that makes opening cans easy. The blade is sharp, and it seems to glide smoothly along the can’s edge, leaving a clean cut. It is easy to run and use, I bought a second for my RV and gifted one to my mother. It’s sturdy and well-balanced, and you can tell it’s built to last. I genuinely appreciate the thoughtful design, and it seems durable, after months of regular use, it still feels and works like new. Yes, it’s a bit pricier than other manual options, but in this case, you absolutely get what you pay for. If you want a dependable can opener, this OXO model is well worth every penny.

I would love to recommend a can opener made in the USA, but they all rust shortly after use. The Oxo brand does rust eventually, but it takes at least a year. I always wash on the top rack of the dishwasher. The Oxo brand is also easy to use and never slips on the can.

I have NO IDEA why it's so hard to make a simple can opener. I purchased a few different ones from Amazon, similar to this one. They were ALL JUNK and did not work. I thew all of them away. Several months later I purchased this Can Opener from Walmart. It is PERFECT! Works great, just like it's supposed to. The handle is easy to turn and everything feels real strong and sturdy. It is kind of expensive, BUT WORTH IT! Highly Recommend this item.

This handheld can opener is, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever owned. After being frustrated with what I refer to as “disposable” can openers—those that only function for a short period before becoming useless and inevitably ending up in the trash—I finally decided to invest in a more durable option. This can opener has proven its worth over the past four months, consistently delivering smooth and effortless operation. The sturdy construction and ergonomic design make it easy to grip and maneuver, even with stubborn lids. I’m thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend this item to anyone in need of a reliable kitchen tool.

I love this OXO can opener. I have arthritis in my hands and have no problems using this can opener it's so easy to open cans.

This is my favorite brand of can opener. It just works. All the time. I've had one for many years now, so I bought one for a friend.

absolutely love this can opener. It glides through the top of the can like butter! I didn't even realize a can opener can work so beautifully and easily. I about broke my wrist with the last 10 can openers I've owned!!!

Finally a can opener that is smooth and requires minimal effort. After multiple disappointing purchases of other brands, this one does the job perfectly!

I bought this to replace a can opener that got brave reviews on Amazon, well I raved when I threw it in the trash. so this is the first can opener I've paid this much for that wasn't electric. I got to say, I'll probably never buy nothing but this brand can opener ever again. I have difficulties with my hands, which makes things difficult but I find the electric can openers to be disgusting and hard to clean, and if your power is out, for days, like I found out one time, electric can openers are of no use. but back to this can opener, it's very easy to operate even as bad as my hands are, it actually will flip the lid up once you've cut it enough which others don't and you have to dig the lid out of the can. it's easy to clean and it's very solidly built. I've actually bought some other oxo stuff that I'm also impressed with so I believe I found a brand that will Grace my kitchen from now on. ,

Doesn't hold up. was great when we purchased it, as ither reviewers said, smooth easy action. We do not use it a lot, %26 it is completely stripped out. You can turn the handle but the wheel doesn't spin at all. very disappointed in the very short life span of this item. Will not buy again.
