Based on the fact that the rivets and connections of the all metal tools tend to rust overtime, I decided this time to buy this strainer that eliminates that problem. It's slightly bigger than my last one and deeper. I have always been totally satisfied with products made by OXO, so when I needed to replace my ages-old 8" metal stainer, it was a no-brainer. So I knew the size, material (stainless steel) and brand of what I wanted; now I wanted the cheapest price. You guessed it. This strainer is very good quality with a comfortable handle and has now been through my dishwasher three times with no discoloration, which to me is the real test of quality for a stainless steel product. No, I am not a paid shill for OXO!

Have been using this for months. It doesn't bend, strains herbs incredibly well. I'm a daily tea drinker, herbalist. I hand wash to keep the color, but this will last me for a long time. Forever buyer.

We use this to put family sized Tea bags in, when they need squeezed and they break, which they inevitably do. It keeps the Tea from spilling into the pan.😜 We also use it for straining Lemonade. Unless you like pulp. Then you pick out the seeds and put the pulp back in. Fits my needs perfectly.

This strainer is well made. It's large. , sits well on top of a vessel, and since it's silicone it doesn't slip. I would like a smaller one too.

BOUGHT TO USE MAINLY FOR CANNING. SO FAR IT HAS MADE IT THROUGH ONE CANNING SEASON AND WORKED FINE.
