Well only used it once and it was easy for one senior and a 13yo to erect. The electric cord access was not needed but for backyard camping this would be handy.
I tent camp for two or three nights per month in central Nevada or on the Arizona strip. I use my pickup truck and basically just set up camp, including the tent. My 6’ cot and anything else that I need fit easily in the tent. The bag for the tent is too small to stuff the tent back into (I’m not a good packer) but I use a larger bag that is from my old tent. This tent is simple to set up and take down. For the price, I am a happy “camper.”
Considering it’s my first time tent camping it was nice! But my boyfriend is super tall so it wasn’t so great for a taller person but for shorter people or kids, perfect!
This tent is big enough to fit a queen six air mattress and there’s even room for you bags. The little corner for shoes is awesome! It’s super easy to set up and take down and the instructions are clear and very helpful. This tent really is awesome. Just wish I had bought the 6 person tent to fit two air mattresses
I've had this tent before a long time ago I had to get a new one it's a great tent has a really good rainfly it does keep rain from getting in as long as it's not really strong rain the only complaint I have is the zipper sometimes likes to get stuck but besides that I can't find any complaints anywhere else
We bought this as a birthday gift for our teen daughter to have her own space while camping. Well, camping in the Ozarks can be a challenge early summer with unpredictable weather. Right next to the lake, with flooding, downpours that lasted all night, the sky’s lit up with lightening, and winds at 40-60 mph. Our tent was pushed down, her tent barely felt a thing. It ended up being able to fit our 10 year old, teen daughter, my husband (6ft) and Myself with our dog and stayed completely dry (minus a water bottle spill from the youngest). We are going to get a couple more for us. For the price, I was in complete shock! Highly recommend, extremely great purchase!
Wish it had a better zipper, but it did its job for my trip to sequoia national park. the little foot locker was a plus, plan on using it again. Really easy to set up took me less than 5 minutes,I was able to fit a full size bed, two back packs and still move around comfortably in the tent.
This is my third ozark 4 person dome tent . I thoroughly water proofed the tent especially the seams . Spent 1 night in rain last summer in Michigan …did well. I don’t use these tents often or for many nights and so far they do the job:::: spacious (fits a queen blow up with equipment room), good height and easy assembly. The price and quality is good for a casual camper ie not extreme or long term use and too heavy for backpacking . I like the ventilation , mesh roof and D shaped entry door .
Very nice tent for the price. I am a cubmaster for cub scouts and currently have 6 or 7 tents. I say that, because after reading other reviews.... tip don't force the zippers; they will get snagged on the inside material. It was 45° at Martinsville Speedway where we were camping and not a lot of room, so I needed to get tents with a smaller footprint. I put my queen sized mattress inside. (obviously I blew it up after it was in the tent) Nice little covered shoe compartment that can be accessed for the inside or the outside. My mattress is a double height one, so there was not a lot of headroom, but we could sit up. If you're not rough with this tent it'll be fine for you. We were quite toasty.
Description says 8' x 8.5' The actual tent floor is 7'-10" x 5'-11" the rain fly might get you to 8' wide. the tiny boot holder pocket thing gets you to 8'-5"ish but in my opinion should not determine the dimension of the tent as it does not represent the actual usable area. The support bar for the rain fly is a horrible design as it forces the clips off of the main poles and allows the tent to partially collapse. I didn't expect much for the price but it should at least be functional. I just needed something that my cub scout could assemble himself and camp out in overnight for his requirements. Luckily the troop leader was lenient. It will be returned.
