This Ozark Trail 6 inch cleat is well made and designed to last a lifetime. It is burr free so you don't have to worry about rough edges abrading your mooring lines. The polished chrome finish ensures it will stay that way for a long time to come. You do need to choose the mounting screws carefully. You can pick any screw (or even bolt if you have to) up to 1/4 inch. Just remember to match the screw type to the material of the base you have available. Choose the longest and most robust screw or bolt you can. Remember, that will be the weakest link in your mount.

These cleats are well made with enhanced stainless steel and are rust and corrosion-resistant. Cleats have a nice shiny finish and are very sturdy. Also very easy to mount, although you will need to buy fasteners to use depending on what surface you choose to mount cleat. They come in several different sizes to meet your needs. I highly recommend these cleats.

The Ozark Trail 6-inch Herreshoff cleat, distributed by Walmart, Inc. is a quality item. It is made of solid stainless steel, not chrome plating over a base metal. This is especially important if it to be installed on a boat used in salt water. It should keep its excellent appearance wherever it is used. The “6-INCH” cleat actually measures about 5 ¾ inches tall by about 1 ¼ inches high. More important, the size of the opening is ¾ inch by 1 ¾ inches, which will allow the use of most synthetic dock or anchor lines. This cleat does not include screws and the buyer should provide ¼ inch stainless steel bolts or screws to complete the installation.

This Ozark Trail cleat is nice looking and heavy-duty! It's looks as nice as you'd want, and performs as perfectly as you'd expect. It feels quite heavy and is definitely not moving anywhere, with 4 screw holes big enough to accommodate quite large screws or lag bolts. Additionally, the space between the mounting plate and the rung of the cleat is large enough to allow the use of quite large-diameter rope. Up to nearly 1" or so diameter should actually work fine. The finish is attractive, since it's made of stainless steel, will doubtlessly be durable. You should note that the same company also makes a similar 6" model one made of Zamak that is sold at Walmart as well. I'd choose this one over the Zamak one unless you really prefer that particular aesthetic style, as this one holds more rope. It will hold more than enough rope to meet most users' needs. I've wrapped this 5/8" diameter rope around 4 or 5 times in the picture, and it could easily accommodate another 5-6 wraps. (Final note: In case you're wondering, Herreschoff doesn't really mean anything in particular in this case. Herreshoff was an engineer and architect who invented a ton of naval things--like this general type of tie-off cleat.) If you're needing a cleat for your tying needs, this is a great choice!

I have a farm, so I thought these would be very useful for tacking and for our dump truck. Although they are meant for boats, these are certainly multi-purpose. I love the slim profile, and that they are rust proof! They are very easy to use when you are in a pinch needing to tie something up. On most classic cast-iron cleats, the hole in the middle of the mount is smaller, so it's difficult to quickly thread your rope through, but the clearance is nice and large on this Herreshoff style cleat. Will go grab more for around the farm for sure!

This cleat was to replace one on our pontoon boat. Very strong galvanized metal and works well with my current rope. I find all Ozark Trail products to be of good quality and affordable prices and this is no exception. I appreciate that I can always depend on Ozark Trail for all.of my outdoor needs.

I was not too sure what cleat I was wanting when I was in the market to get a cleat I ripped off (by accident) my boat by leaving it tied up to the dock. I have the little galvanized on my boat currently and I wanted a little more flash to the boat. These 6-Inch Herreshoff Cleat by Ozark Trail was just what I was looking for. The stainless-steel design of these looks amazing. I have a 18' center console open fisherman and the boat had 6-inch cleats already installed, so these were a perfect replacement. Installation was self-explanatory with only the need of (4) 1/4" fasteners to secure them to the deck. I used stainless-steel to keep the overall look the same and to give it that flashy look I was looking for. I have not had any trouble to tie the boat off and they work just as they should. Overall, I could not expect any better results and I am totally satisfied with every aspect of this 6-inch stainless-steel cleat and the next chance I get I will be purchasing more of these to replace the other 3 cleats that are still the older galvanized type.

This Ozark Trail 6" cleat is very nice and perfect size for me. Good solid and heavy weight, which I really like, with long ends for tie downs. Whether the boat or your fenders, this is a great addition. This cleat requires 1/4 inch fasteners, that are not included in the packaging. The material is stainless steel, this really attracted me to this one, it will hold up in slat water as well. This cleat is made in China.

I received The Ozark Trail 6-Inch Herreshoff Cleat that I got for a replacement for my boat. I am going to use this on my boat as an additional tie off. It is six inches in length and seems like the same size as my others so it will match well. It has four holes to mount with however I wish it came with the mountain screws, however it did not. So make sure that you get the right screws when purchasing this product. LUckyily I had some that would fit. This product is made out of stainless steel so I hope this means it will last a while and not get rusty of course in the water. All around a good sturdy product that I think will last a long while. I like the silver color and it does good so far on the tying off! So far I am pleased with the product.

The cleat is not the biggest, but it should serve it's purpose with smaller diameter ropes. It has a beautiful chrome finish that looks high end and seems to be strong. Time will tell how it holds up to the salt water/air.
