easy peasy set up!!! weird little side compartment that we call a closet, it was good to store the dog food and things like sleeping bag covers in so they weren't laying all over the floor. really liked that they were Hooks and pockets and several different places of the tent. overall very good value for the money
best deal I found for the money. we will buy steel Stakes for it for future and a bigger duffel bag because it's just like a map; never falls back up to size it started to be so couldn't get it all back in the original bag but it came with. so if you're reading this you might go ahead and throw the camping Stakes that are metal with the little yellow top in with your purchase. I do like using the yellow plastic ones for the guy wires for the fly since they'll stick out further and they can be seen very well. it's just they're harder to use in the Rocky ground in the Ozarks of Arkansas. size wise we had the monster queen size air mattress that has the headboard attached and it was all that would fit there. where it says that two queen mattresses will fit you have to have the queen air mattresses that do not have the headboard attached for them to fit as shown in the diagram. this is a great tent for a quick overnight and a weekend adventure. I like bigger with screen room and bigger entry area if I'm going to spend a week at camping or with family. but this is very good tent for the amount you hey and easy up
i have not set it up yet but can't wait to do so. my friends asked who is going camping with me and I told them I bought this just for myself. i will love the extra room inside for I won't have to leave my things outside of the tent
value for money is good. Slept 2 people with their gear and 2 cots comfortably. didn't use the rain fly. stayed cool. door zippers be careful. the zipper flaps are easy to catch on the zippers.
Let's start at the beginning! Set up is super easy. My husband and I had it up in about 15-20 minutes, while keeping an eye on a roving one year old. We put a large tarp underneath to give some more protection in case it rained (plot spoiler, it did!!) The tent has plenty of room. We put a king size mattress inside %26 can easily still fit a twin if we wanted but we like being able to fit our bags and belongings inside. There's a vented screen on two sides of the tent so airflow during the day is great as well as the top is mesh so even with the rain cover on, you get plenty of fresh air! Now for the only issue we noticed with using it so far…the rain. Some reviews did mention leaking %26 I was hesitant. It rained overnight both of our nights in it. The second night it was pretty heavy and I did notice water at the bottom under where our mattress was placed. Not a ton but enough that can ruin belongings. Will definitely bring extra towels to put down next time! Taking it down was pretty easy but getting it back in the bag it comes in seems impossible. Overall we are happy with the tent for what we paid %26 will use it for! Just beware some leaking!
Good size. Love that i can stand up in it. Just wish door could be opened on both sidea and not just one. And the whole roof is mesh, with a separate rain cover, so no way to protect from wind. Wish there was an option to fully enclose the roof and make it wind tight. Comfortable for 2 but not sure about 6..
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed in this tent first off the dimensions are not accurate at all. It says it's 8 1/2 feet but it's actually only 6 feet wide which definitely in my opinion doesn't make it a 6 person tent at all. I took my grandson camping and we just barely had room to set up two cots.. I got a six person tent because we plan on having a third person when we go again in July so we could all have a cot and fit comfortably and have our gear but definitely is not going to work. I'm keeping it because I own primitive land and I can use it to put our gear in for extra space . the other thing I didn't like we could just barely fit the cots side-by-side and I only had about a foot to stand up to open the door and because the walls are angled in so much I could just barely stand up without tipping over to try to open the door and it just made for a very uncomfortable camping trip, I do have to say the quality of it is good for the price especially because it has the nice wash tub bottom so it's very durable. Didn't have any issues with it leaking, but I always waterproof my tents when I first get them and then once a year after that, but the quality I do say is good. 10 I took my grandson camping and we just barely had room to set up two carts and I got a six person tent because we plan on having a third person when we go again in July so we could all have a car and fit comfortably and have our gear but definitely is not gonna work. I'm keeping it because I own primitive land and I can use it to put our gear in for extra space the other thing I didn't like we could just barely fit the cots side-by-side and I only had about a foot to stand up to open the door and because the walls are angled in so much could just barely stand up without tipping over to try to open the door and it just made for a very uncomfortable camping trip., I do think the quality is very good. I would only use it for 2 people.
Well... The tent went up quick and easy. Looks a little odd because it's wide and tall, but narrow front to back. Kept the rain out easily. Problem is... Two of the poles broke (split like firewood) ...so none of the rest matters. Returning after 1 night out.
Nice size. But the screen sides were too much. If you are camping in a cooler area this tent is not for you. The rain fly covers the screened sides but does not help much with the warmth
what is pictures and listed in details is NOT what i received. it wasissingany pieces- the rain guard that goes on top, the string tie downs, most of the stakes, and it look as of had been used before because it was full of dirt, mud and leaves. I am highly disappointed that Walmart did not check this item before shipping.
