Coghlan's Rubber Mallet with Wooden Handle and Butt Hook

I mean it's a mallet. Used it to drive metal tent poles, does the trick in only a few well placed hits and I never missed despite having a few bevvies

They substituted this weight verses the heavier one I wanted. A heavier one would've worked better for driving stakes. It's good quality as far as I can tell but being a woman, I would've preferred the 5 pounder to really pound.

I purchased this for camping to get the tent stakes in the ground. Works perfectly and doesn't take up a ton of camping space and also is light weight!

This rubber mallet is JUST the thing put the pegs INTO the ground and back OUT again with ease and withOUT damage. (LOVE that hook!) A bit bigger and heavier than I was expecting, but that only means less effort to get the pegs in the ground. A

Just perfect for driving those tent stakes in and then it's got to hook on the handle so you can pull them right up when you're ready to go, nice and easy.

The hammer arrived in a box with brown paper. No bubble wrap. When I took the mallet out and inspected it, the rubber was all damaged and had holes in it like someone had been using it. The wooden handle and hook were undamaged but I don't know the quality of the wood or hook since I returned this item the next day. I had planned to use this for fine metal work and with all these chips and holes in the rubber I can't accomplish those tasks. The return process seemed simple enough but I wish there was a complaint department versus just a simple return process that they won't even read up on.

It's a mallet and it serves it's function.

i use for thumb tacks on my apartment wall. it's ideal

perfect size. The hook on the end of the handle is a game changer!

Helped a lot during my camping trip that lil hook at the end was very helpful with the stakes pulling them out of the ground was very easy
