Freez Pak Large Reusable Ice Pack with Hard Shell, 2.4lbs

Actually, I ordered the wrong size because I didn't know how large the large size was. I guess what I really wanted was one appropriate to fit a large insulated shopping bag. Walmart refunded the amount I paid, and asked me not to return the large ones. Lucky me! Now I have some for my ice chest, (but not for the bag).

We really like the ice packs. We use them for several different things. Road trips. Different things around the house as well. Always good to have on hand when we go to Indianapolis to do some shopping and we need to keep things cool in the cooler a little bit longer.

These blue ice freezer blocks are an amazing value for the money. They are available in several different sizes which include 2 different sizes for lunch box or drinks. They are large enough that they don't thaw before lunch and can even make it to the afternoon after school snacks or late break at work. The large ones are thinner but larger diameters making them easier to pack in coolers. For those preferences for coolers these ice freezer packs can't be beat! definitely at under $4 for the larger and $2 for the smaller the value speaks for itself

If a diabetic, this product is excellent for your insulin in the mountains or traveling on the road or in an airplane. 24-hour cool to cold. when traveling. Keeps everything cool when packed. Size is great too for meats, drinks, fruit, and insulin. It's cooling and not freezing.

These are the ONLY ice blocks you need! I have tried the thinner, smaller ones but they really don't last long in a hard shell cooler. I purchased two FreezPak large blocks to test in my cooler. I was so impressed I purchased 2 additional FreezPaks. I need ice blocks that keep my cooler cold, and stay cold, and these FreezPaks outlast any other ice blocks I've tried. I live a good distance from grocery/warehouse stores, and I love putting the FreezPaks in my cooler for food shopping trips. I never have to worry about the perishable items staying cold. I know they are just ice blocks, but to me they are a lifesaver during the hot weather (and all year)! They are larger (taller,thicker) than some others, but that's what makes them so great. Make some extra room in the freezer for these; you won't regret it!

I love to use my ice pack to go ahead and store medicine store ice pack to use on applying to a ice pack on my knee or on my back or on a achy spot. I also enjoy using this to take with me when I go on trips and need to take a lunch with me, I have a small lunch kit and this is perfect. Very versatile product.

I put these blocks in my freezer as soon as thewy were delivered. When I took them out the next day BOTH blocks were bulging with a line down them. This is what happened to the 2 blocks I replaced. Those blocks were almost 10-years-old before they split open. I hope these new ones do not split open right away. I keep a small cooler by my bed with several bottles of water in them. They did keep the water super cold after 24-hours so they do their job of cooling well.

It doesn't last as long as others and has weird protruding points when it freezes. I've gone through many thaw and freeze cycles now and notice shorter usage time with this and the weird spots don't go away or change location. I would not order it again.

"as cold as ice with no icy mess" is part of the description, but it is only half true. It is cold as ice when frozen, but it DOES leave an icy mess. It puts out far more watery condensation than i would have ever expected. It made puddles of water as it thawed, which caused my insulated bag to stink like moldy moisture. The label came off after the first use so i doubt Walmart will take it back, but i will try.

This item was a total failure. I placed the freeze pack in my freezer and it froze solid overnight. Packed my lunch the next day and put the freeze pack on the bottom, and to my surprise during lunch break my lunch was soaked due to the water found beading/sweating on the outside of the Freeze pack while in my insulated lunch bag. . I would not recommend this item.
