My son works at a summer camp and ticks are an issue. He used this last summer and liked it so much he asked me to get more for him this year. This is very effective against ticks, mosquitos and most insects. Its also very easy to use which is a big plus for early mornings and busy days. Highly recommend for those working or staying outdoors.
Had issues with ticks in southern Ohio the past 2 years especially in early spring. This stuff dose keep them at bay if you use it frequently. I coat my boots and pants with jt also getting skin but it wears off quickly. Skeeters don't like jt but still will bother you and black flies or other whatnots I swear drink it and seek it out thriving off it lol it's made for rocks though a s dose help for that purpose but don't expect it to repel anything else, in my area anyways but may be different in your ecosystem. It's not greasy as much as the regular stuff either but still wet and kinda thick. Washes off easy in shower and maybe why I have to constantly reapply when sweating. Over all I'd still buy more it's worth it even if it keeps one tick off you which could be the one that makes you sick. If nothing else it's worth coating shoes and other gear to keep from bringing ticks home if camping. For those saying it made Your kids or self sick it clearly says on bottle to close your mouth when applying not to inhale it. Says to put on hands and work over neck and ears if needed. Don't blame the product for your kid straight streaming it into their eyes and mouth then puking all night and going to the ER for chemical poisoning. It's an insecticide not candy and perhaps get off your phone and teach some basic life skills and common sense. For those of you adults who done it you deserve it for being dense.
We use this when we're cutting our wooded area on our property. It works very well. Lots of deer flies, horse flies, biting gnats and mosquitos. Keeps them all away. Spray it on and go to work.
used for a 2 day camping trip in the woods. not a single bite! it was like there were no bugs! it's not smelly like most bug spray and once it's on there isn't any kind of residue. will definitely buy again for my next trip!
I contacted Lyme disease a couple months ago and didn't know that there was a different chemical other than deet. The chemical in this spray is amazing!!
Shout out to employee who packed this shipment. Excellent packaging by Walmart. Cans were individually seal to prevent leakage and wrapped with protective sleeves. Product in itself is a great product to keep ticks off. Nice alternative for those of us allergic to deet
Doesnt destroy your pleather summer sandals, and disintegrate the materials used in construction of womens sandals.
I use this when I'm riding my mountain, and even though I still check for ticks on my body. I have yet to find any
I purchased Repel Tick Defense because I wanted to try a repellent without DEET, because DEET can dissolve some of the plastic materials in my hunting gear. After applying Repel Tick Defense head to toe, I still came out of the woods with ticks. It did work well to deter mosquitoes, and if they are your only concern this product works well. I like that it doesn't have the smell of DEET and would be best used for back yard BBQ's and the like where mosquito protection is the main concern and it would be preferable not to reek of chemicals. I have found that I now use this product in conjunction with DEET to limit the amount DEET that I have to apply but still getntick protection. So Repel Tick Defense does half of what it claims and does repel the flying blood sucker variety. So three stars for good mosquito protection and poor tick protection.
this works okay but the repel sportsman's Max with the 40% wet is probably the best on the market this is not as good as that
