The quality of this bike is very good for the price. Assembly was straight forward. The gears shift smoothly and goes uphill in low gear real easily. I did a few jumps and nothing got bent or broken so this seems to be a sturdy bike. The only two things I didn't like was the seat can only be adjusted down so far then it hits the seat tube bolt so that is the lowest the seat will go and it would be nice to have a choice of colors, but gray is neutral so not too bad.

Excellent value. MicroShift Acolyte rear derailleur paired with a MicroShift Advent shifter,a non recommended pairing,however it works flawlessly. Remember to pull the lock tab on derailleur to release the derailleur and use a 5 mm hex to lock it. It has an effective clutch. The rear brake regardless of adjustment is substandard. The front brake is likewise weak. Replaced brakes with Shimano BL MT 200. Routed the rear line externally using built in cable fixtures. Now have great stopping power. Replaced pedals with Raceface Pugsly. I wanted replaceable steel studs. The bike was delivered properly adjusted and torque measurements in spec. Recommend the bike as long as you are willing to replace brakes with cheap hydraulic units.

Bike is quiet nice. New to MTB, but the quality is great. Put the bike together in home. Bike was packaged well and there were no issues and no parts missing.

Great beginner bike for the money. It's hard to beat. I wish it had hydraulic brakes from the factory, and a slightly better fork - but all things being fair and equal, it's a great bike that will get people out on the trails.

Today, the entry point for going mountain biking just got a little bit lower. The Ozark Trail Ridge, a $398 bicycle sold at Walmart is making mountain biking accessible to someone who can save a bit more for a more expensive bike. The frame geometry, internal cable routing, disc brakes, 29" wheels and overall upgradability of the fork, drivetrain, with a dropper post ready seat tube makes this the ultimate value bike for beginner enduro. Watch the Berm Peak video, Seth put's this through it's paces and it outperforms every other bike for the same price. Amazing job Walmart, excited for things to come!

Great beginner mountain bike for the price and you can upgrade it easily as you go. well built aluminum frame with internal cable routing, sealed bearings and tapered head tube, dropper post ready, and has modern geometry. the drivetrain is good with a cassette range from 11-42 tooth so it has decent speed while still being a very capable climbing bike. The derailleur is definitely "budget" but does the job with a little tuning. The front fork is good and feels better built than the no-name forks found on so many big box bikes these days. The disc brakes work well and are quiet most of the time except on low speed descents but i've found that typical. For the price I think its a good investment in the hobby of mountain biking or just to go get some exercise! You can upgrade this bike as your skills advance or just ride it as it comes. Either way I would have a local bike shop check it over or someone familar with setting up and adjusting derailleurs and brakes then you are good to go.

Great entry level mountain bike. Decent parts, with specs setup for ease of upgrading. The pro comes with a dropper post and better fork I believe, which you can get by without but are awesome upgrades that the Pro comes with at a reasonable price difference. Only thing wrong with this frame is no spacing for boost axles in the rear, another difference the Pro has, but will only effect you if you plan on upgrading the rear wheel. There's still options, just not as many.

I bought this bike as a project bike, inspired by many YouTube videos. I really like the frame geometry, as well as the quality of the frame assembly. I've upgraded the bike to hydraulic brakes, a new bottom bracket with BCD104 cranks, a Microshift Advent derailleur, and an Ergon saddle. Also going to install an air fork. With these upgrades, I think this is a top-notch hardtail MTB that still costs less than comparable brand names. I would also like to point out that my bike had been fully assembled by the Walmart store in Auburn, WA, and that it had been assembled flawlessly.

Thought this would be a great bike to ride around town with my son. I have had the bike for about 2 months. The pedals started to feel weird and had a clicking feeling while I was riding. I emailed the warranty company, but all they did was ask for my order number and pictures of the damaged and then ghosted me. I've continued to ride with the strange felling pedals not thinking much about it. Today while riding I lost a pedal. It wore out the threads where the pedal screw in. Hopefully I get answers soon, but I guess you get what you pay for….

this is hands down the worst bicycle that i jave ever purchased! 1. the derailleur hanger came bent! 2.none of the bolts were tight enough! 3. the wheels were out of dish and not true! 4. deep scratches down to the bare aluminum! 5. it has a 9 speed advent cassette and a 9 speed advent shifter but yet it has a 8 speed acolyte derailleur wich is not compatible! 6.i bought this through klarna an when i tried to exchange it at walmart they said that i would need a receipt wich i dont have because i purchased it through klarna! so now i had to replace everything with my own money! i guess this is why the say wal-mart fall apart! the funny thing is that walmart charges $78 for "professional assembly"
