Ozark Trail Marine Safety Air Horn, 8 oz

When I was walking, my dogs, coyotes unexpectedly ran up on us, and luckily, I was able to yell at the top of my lungs and frighten them to run in the other direction. However, I quickly realized that I needed something for late at night in case my dogs and I had coyotes surround us again so I put purchased the Ozark airhorn. No, I carry it with me each night.

For my intended use: a bicycle horn, it's plenty loud. If someone opens their parked car door without looking, this horn sure wakes them up. It's plenty loud to wake up the neighborhood. Easy install and easy to screw the horn to the can. Less than a quarter the Amazon price of $30, and Amazon only gave you ONE!!! Walmart's gave me 2 horns.

I saw how compressed air will stop dogs from barking. My rescue barks at even an acorn falling. She doesn't like anyone near me, even my son. But in town, she's happy as a clam. Just not in my yard or house. Good trade off. I gave the son the compressed air can. A quick burst and she ran in the house. She barks at nbors. I couldn't get her attention to stop barking. A quick shot, she ran inside. The next time she barked. I showed her the can…she ran inside. I don't really want her running inside. Will google that.

I purchased a few things that day all were associated with my boat set of 4 life jackets: all were packaged together and were really put together really well. Lake kit, flags, whistle, flares this was a nice kit with all your safety needs. Again excellent service and delivery from my local Walmart store

This is the very small one but for me, seems to last forever. I only use it when, I need to. In other words, hearing something strange outside in the dark of night. Getting the attention of others. I never have but these would probably be a very handy item to keep in your purse or coat pocket. They're extremely LOUD and would get everyone's attention plus scare off an attacker.

Raccoons don't like it. That's why I got it. Raccoons were clawing their way into a wood sided shed in my yard. I ambushed them with the horn and they scattered. They came back in a couple of days and I did it again. They haven't been back for two weeks now so far.

I have a cat to chase the squirrels away, but then she made friends with them %26 now it is a game. This little air horn is loud, compact, but we have lots of squirrels- should have bought a larger one. My husband also used it to chase the hawks away- it works, but I like seeing them and made him stop.

Excellent product easy to use, I bought it to scare the packs of unleashed dogs in my neighborhood, the first time I had to use it I was a little scared, but hey it worked, short blast scared the heck out of the dogs, now when they hear me (I carry my dog inside her crate inside a folding shopping cart for protection) they run away LOL, I recommend this product 100 percent

I wanted something that would be loud. These are LOUD!!! I wanted something that would scare away an unwanted critter for the sake of not only me but for their prey. These, I believe will do this. I wanted something to get the attention of my family and friends down the road... It can and has. These are attention-getters... The one I have had has lasted quite a while and I am pleased to say THEY ARE WORTH THE MONEY!!! One will be in my house and car for as long as I walk this earth. I wouldn't want to be without one.

Very loud, more so than expected. You do have to screw the plastic horn onto the can when you take it out of the package before the first use, but it isn't too difficult.
