I am glad I bought the waterproof shoes the fit was true sized and they are well constructed and durable and they're comfortable I shoveled snow with them on and they're definitely waterproof and my feet stayed warm and dry! you can't beat them for the price
These Ozark Trail Men's Waterproof Hiking Shoes are definitely worth it for the price. They're comfortable and feel sturdy enough for everyday walking or light hikes. I bought a size 7, and they were slightly large on me, but they fit perfectly with thick socks. They are a bit on the heavier side compared to some other hiking shoes, but for this price and the durability you get, it's a solid purchase overall.
I really love these shoes!! If you need something to keep your feet warm and super comfortable in the winter look no further. I wanted a pair of shoes for the dead of the winter, during the worst part of the ice and snow and these shoes worked awesome, they kept my feet super warm, dry and they have really good traction which is something to be concerned about when dealing with ice. They worked so well that my wife got herself a pair also... would totally get them again if I need to and if they are at a reasonable price.
These shoes are soldily built which of course makes them a bit heavier. I served in military and don't mind the weight ( it gives the feel of wearing combat boots in the US Army ). Nuetral color that goes with any attire. Waterproof so it's good for cold weather.
They look nice for a hiking shoe. They're rugged, solid and surprisingly comfortable. I haven't hiked with them yet but they have great potential for my Alaskan cruise in May. I got a great price for the shoes they were on clearance for $13. It was a bargain!! If you're paying full price, I would say if you're paying $30 for them they're still awesome.
These shoes are well constructed, look great, but... are very heavy in weight. They do not flex when you walk. Maybe that is good, I will see as I wear them more this season. I just did not expect their weight knowing they are advertised as a Hiking shoe. Better name would be "snow shoes", great on slippery surfaces and snow.
The shoes were on clearance, however the app did not show clearly that the clearance was only on ordering online, even though the shoes came up at the clearance price and were in a clearance area, they were 10 dollars more at check out, so I had to put them back and order them on the website. This is silly there should just be a price for items.
Some other reviews indicated the shoes run true to size. That did not ring true for me. Also, the site's sizing recommendations was “off” as well. The ones I received look like Mickey Mouse would favor them because they were huge! Positive note: They are sturdy. I think you'd get your money's worth from them..IF you get the proper size. Had they fit, I would not have returned them.
These are WAY, WAY SMALLER than the stated sizes!!!! I wear an 8 in womens and a 6 in mens. I ordered 2 pr of these, a size 7 mens and a size 8 mens (hoping for some "extra" room for chore shoes I can slip on/off in a hurry). The 7's are WAY TOO SMALL - I can't even get my foot in them! The 8's are pretty TIGHT, but I'm going to keep them because I NEED some shoes ASAP. But I'm afraid they are going to hurt my feet and fall apart faster because of cramming too big feet into too small shoes!! If you buy these, BUY EXTRA BIG!! I haven't actually WORN them yet, so I can't say if they are worth the money, comfortable or anything else. Buy at your own risk.
Horrible dog food bag smell after wearing for several hours. Left a rash on top of both feet. Having to use lotion to heal the rash. Thankfully it's healing. Otherwise Ozark trail would hear more from me if I had to go see a doctor. Will not ever buy another Ozark trail shoe or product. My advice. Don't be cheap when taking care of your feet. Buy high quality and spend the money necessary or go barefoot.
