Perfect length and with it being moderate action it's great for treble hook lures. The cork handle feels great in the hands. Lure rating is 3/16 - 5/8 oz (roughly 5 - 18 grams), line weight is 6 - 12 lbs. You can get away with 15 - 20 lb braid with a 12 lb leader.

I didn't expect IM7 graphite. It feels snappy, sensitive, and casts surprisingly very well. My Ozark Trail 6′6″/6′8″ medium-fast rod out fished a couple of mid-range rods. These rod blanks are well made and comfortable for all day fishing. Very Strong Showing from Ozark Trail on the OTX model. Whether you're gearing up as a beginner or need a budget-friendly backup rod, the OTX 6′ 8″ Medium casting rod delivers performance that belies its price.

So far this little rod has worked well for us. Mostly used while out on the jet ski. Main reason for getting it having a shorter combo that is easier to tote around. No issues this far!

The rod seems fine but when I went to pick it up from Walmart when the employee put it in my vehicle I didn't notice but one of the top eyes was broke off.

The guides are not centered with the reel. Waste of money! It's a good rod, but don't order it, go pick yours out at the store and ensure everything is lined up.
