Surprising strength
I purchased 2 of these along with a couple of pulleys and some rope for a mechanical advantage setup. These were actually rated for more than the pulleys and since the rope easily slides through these I didn't even use the pulleys. Rated for 1000 lbs. Got the job done.

Good choice...
Was using this as part of a dog lone-line training lead, connecting between the clip and line, very smooth operation, with a wider opening and a bright, maybe nickel plated finish. A good option for securing many items around the house, in the truck, on the trail or at work!
