Surprising strength
I purchased 2 of these along with a couple of pulleys and some rope for a mechanical advantage setup. These were actually rated for more than the pulleys and since the rope easily slides through these I didn't even use the pulleys. Rated for 1000 lbs. Got the job done.

Lock right then not
Ozark Trail Quick-Release Chain Link, Zinc-Plated Steel, Model BT6170 is useful for holding things , like keys or tie down rope, thin with this one, but you have different sizes, I have been able to use it to keep my house keys together and I have used it to give my mechanic my car keys. Very heavy. Very versatile.
