Bunji cords
These come in multiple sizes and that's what I needed. I use them to tie all the layers of my Christmas tree up so when I put it up the next year I undo the cords one level at a time. It makes it so much easier to shape the tree.

great for short term use
great while it lasts. hooks can be resused when strap portion fails. the elastic bands will dissintegrate and become unusable after about 1 year in weather but i just order new ones when that happens i also reuse the hooks with rope and marine strap
