Ozark Trail Two way Walkie Talkie, IPX4, 22 Channel, Green

Love this walkie talkie set. Will be using it in-house as a makeshift intercom to talk to my father who is losing his hear and has trouble walking. Now we don't have to yell at each other or use our phones when he need something. The volume is perfect too.

I have owned many products from Ozark in the past, such as tents, stoves, cookware, etc. Its always great quality for a great price; and this is no different! I absolutely love this product. For a $20 walkie talkie I was not expecting much from it but it really exceeded my expectations. Its made from really good high quality material. Has a built in flash light, its not a super powerful light but it definitely helps out while camping if you need some light. The product even came with batteries! What product ever has batteries included?! And best of all, its got some surprisingly great range on it. I had my friend go from our home all the way down to the main street which is about a mile and a half from where I was in my bed room and could still hear him clearly. Im super it could possibly so even further. The packaging says that range can be up to 16 miles in mountain/ valley regions and i cant wait to test that out. I initially bought this product for when me and my friends go camping to keep in contact while driving and we loose connection on our cell phones. This product is perfect for that. Overall if your looking for a really well made outdoorsy product for a great price, i highly recommend it!

Really good set of walkie talkies for a very good price! On sale for $5, it was a steal, worth at least double-triple that. Nice range considering the price.

They are compact and very affordable. They work from outside to inside. They are a great bargain. They even come with batteries.

To Ozark Trail, Bought a set of walkie talkies for 20 dollars at Walmart. They were Ozark Trail brand. Ive owned other gear by them, such as knives and boots, which have never disappointed me. Lost one radio while out rabbit hunting in New Hampshire and couldnt find it. I went out four days after the ice storm and found it under a bush frozen to the ground. Literally had to use my Ozark knife to chip it out, it was still on with three quarters of a battery left, and it works perfect. Just want to say thank you very much for a superior product at an affordable price. Sincerely, Dusten

I would give it four or five stars for the two-way radio feature and one star for the weather channel. The two way feature of the radio receives very well. I have not tried to see how far it will transmit, but don't expect anything more than a mile on handheld radios like this (unless you are on open water). For a two-way radio, it has some nice features: 121 Filter Codes (don't think of codes as Privacy Codes because nothing on these radios is private). Scan feature to scan all 22 channels. Dual Watch feature to scan only two specific channels. Two-way reception is very good. Multiple call tones. Has an easy menu system with large characters. The easy menu could be helpful for those not familiar with radio menus, as some can be complicated. Doesn't eat batteries, 3AA batteries per radio. They claim it is weather resistant (not weather proof). Has a flashlight, but the brightness is very weak. Flashlight could be helpful for total darkness in a familiar setting. Audio quality from the speaker is decent. The weather radio is useless. Don't buy for a weather radio, as the reception of weather stations is very poor. Also, this doesn't have alerts, It only has the ability to check the weather on a weather channel. Again, reception of weather stations is very weak. You can't turn off the keypad beep. After you press the PTT or any button, the radio beeps. There is no knob to set the sound level, only the keypad to choose levels from one to seven. There is no jack for a headset/mic. There is no jack to charge batteries. This doesn't come with rechargeable batteries. It does come with basic alkaline batteries (3AA per radio). Be aware that transmitting distance will be greatly reduced if in a vehicle or building. Being in a vehicle or building will also reduce reception. Be close to other vehicles if you plan on communication with other vehicles during a road trip. These radios can be handy for road trips, as you don't have to take your eyes off the road to answer or call. Just make sure all the vehicles are close together. Remember that communications on these radios aren't private.

I Like the clips, and is easy to use and has a great range for communicating in the mountains! I also like the size!

I have had to buy two sets of these because it was all I could afford. I use it to talk to my elderly mother when she just has a question so I don't have to go back and forth between rooms at opposite ends of the house. I don't know what the problem is but neither set works more than one day. Every time I push the PTT button it turns the radio off. Good batteries too. Both sets. BAD BAD BAD! Or is it me? What is the problem?
