I picked up the P-Line Floroclear as a cheaper alternative to pure fluorocarbon, and so far, I'm impressed. It held up great in the slightly dirty northern AZ lakes for trout and still remained nearly invisible in the water. I've only had it on my reel for about a week, so I can't fully test the memory yet, but it doesn't seem to hold as much as the pure fluorocarbon I usually use. It casts smoothly, and if it keeps performing this way over the next few months, I'll be switching all my trout poles to Floroclear.
Using this hybrid as my main line on 6 lb UL rig. Switched from straight mono line for small bass, trout and pan fish. The line goes on the reels well and casts easily enough. It's seems to more invisible in the water than mono but otherwise working with it is the same as mono. No need for leader either like with braid. So far I like this P-Line Floroclear well enough and would recommend it.
Excellent fishing line. Invisible in water and very strong.
A great line, no knots or tangles.
It is good strong clear line.
Best line quality/price
great value
Line that I trust
good quality , better than other brand
I have loaded 2 ultralight rods with this in preparation for a trout fishing trip to Tennessee in a week or so. I went out to my local lake and conducted some test casts, and I was happy with what I found. The line came off my spinning reel smoothly with no drag or the dreaded line jumping off the spool at the end of the cast. It seems to knot well, although my old eyes and fingers work a lot better with 50 lb. line, I was able to get good Palomar knots tied with little trouble. As for strength and durability, that will have to wait until I return from my fishing trip.
