This salsa arrived securely sealed, and the first thing I noticed after opening it was the fresh tomato aroma. The texture is genuinely chunky, noticeable pieces of tomatoes, onions, and peppers, without being watery or overly thick. It pours easily but still holds up well on a chip without sliding off. The “mild” label is accurate. There's a gentle warmth, but nothing overpowering, making it family-friendly and great for gatherings. I've used it beyond tortilla chips, spooned over scrambled eggs, mixed into taco meat, and even stirred into rice for added flavor. It adds brightness without dominating the dish. Pros: Fresh flavor, satisfying chunky texture, balanced mild heat. Cons: If you prefer a bold spice level, this one may feel a bit too tame. Helpful tip: Give the jar a good stir before serving to evenly distribute the chunks and juices.
It's worth the price. Used on burritos. Perfect texture because it's thick, chunky and mild. Also, added some in bowl and heated up with cheese for my chips. I have acid reflux so usually can't eat anything spicy. But the mild taste doesn't kick or have a fire taste to it. Just mild enough for me to taste and enjoy.
It's specifically labeled gluten-free. The ingredients (tomatoes, jalapeños, onions, vinegar, etc.) don't contain gluten Pace also states they verify gluten-free status through testing and ingredient checks Quick takeaway ✅ Gluten-free ✅ No wheat, barley, or rye ingredients ✅ Generally safe for gluten-free diets
My family loved this salsa. It has been great with dinners such as tacos or burrito bowls. But holds its own as a snack with nachos. The flavor and texture was great. The jar is made of glass. I prefer glass vs plastic packaging. Definitely will buy again.
The tomatoes and the Chili's and garlic and all makes this salsa taste great! it comes in a variety of mild , medium, and spicy. with the super bowl coming up I buy quite a few of these for your chips and other items that you have at your parties. enjoy
Delicious! We use this to make family fav salsa chicken. Slow cooked chicken breast, PACE picante, a little water, and some pollo powdered chkn bullion, in the crockpot 6 hours. so yummy!
We like the product, except, for some reason, if we don't use it all in the first opening...the lid area gets almost rusty/gross!!! It defiantly needs an update, because after opening it %26 seeing all the crud crusty yucky stuff, it goes in the bin. Too bad, it's a waste. We don't get it often because of that reason.
I'm originally from Maine. Lobsters are served with butter. Other similar fish captured in the south are often served with hot sauces. My mother never used garlic. Although I do, I find most "mild" salsas to be a little hotter than I would prefer, especially since heat in food is something I am supposed to be careful about because it aggravates a skin condition called roseacea. That is the case with Pace. A little hotter than I would like. It's good quality. Nice and chunky. Walmart is suggesting that I talk about chips and dip, I used it as spaghetti sauce! Salsa - and not just Pace's brand - works well for that.
not full a lot
We ordered this for pickup. When took it out of bag, it had dried up salsa all over the jar. Poor quality control at Pace and also Walmart for putting it on their shelf, employee putting it in pickup for me. Now we have to make special trip to return it. I have commented on pickup giving me badly dented canned goods as well. May need to shop at Target instead.
