This is easy to use. While I have no way to know it’s effectiveness yet it was easy to add in and apply. It didn’t alter the paint color or texture. I think it’s a good product to use in bathrooms and high moisture areas. I may use it in my four season room next because in the rainy season it gets a lot of moisture in there!

Paint-Guard is a paint additive to prevent the occurrence of mold and mildew. It is especially great to use in mold and mildew prone areas such as bathroom, basements, laundry rooms, garages or any room that is prone to moisture and has poor ventilation. This product is extremely easy to use. Just shake the bottle well, pour into a gallon of paint and stir until mixed. Easy peasy! It shouldn't affect the paint color or the application, whether you are using a brush or roller. But it would probably be best to use with light to medium color paints. Dark toned paints may not fare well. Cheap, low quality paints may become too watery so I would recommend using at minimum a medium to high quality paint. This paint treatment has a non-toxic formula and a pleasing, fresh lemongrass scent. Only time will tell how well this product works. It is an easy and reasonably priced way to hopefully prevent mold and mildew.

I used this in a gallon of paint that I had to paint my pantry. It mixes in really easily and doesn't seem to affect the paint in a negative way. It looks good and I can't tell a difference in the color or how fast it dried. This is something I'll be adding to all my paints from now on.

versatile, can use with any color

I had mold on the ceiling in my bathroom and needed something to keep it from coming back. I sprayed it with bleach, then repainted it with this paint-guard. It mixed into my paint easily and didn't affect my paint at all. Can't wait to see how long it lasts

This additive is a must to add to paint for any humid rooms in your home, like bathrooms, kitchens, or damp basements. This does not change color of paint, or texture of paint. Does not even hardly smell. I have used additives like this in the past when painting bathrooms, and it indeed increases the need to repaint by years. A noticeable difference in length of time before mildew starts to appear. These additives don't totally stop mold and mildew from forming, it rather delays it for years. I used this product in bathroom yesterday. I expect it to last a long time, as in years. If mold/mildew appears rapidly, I will add to this review at that time, but I doubt that will happen.

Didn't ever get it luckily Walmart gave me my money back. I feel like this is a scam hoping people will forget they ordered it and then they have your money!
