Klean-Strip® Green™ Paint Thinner, 1 Gallon

Great job for all i need

Klean Strip works great to clean out my paint gun after I finish a job. No more clogged guns for me. I like to also mix my oil based paint with klean strip to make application go on smoother. It makes clean up easier for me as well.

Worked surprisingly well for a "green" product. I had my doubts, but this low-fume/no-fume product easily removed the oil-based paint off my brush and hands in no time at all. I was quite surprised. Highly recommend for cleaning up after oil-based paints.

Klean strip green paint thinner does exactly as advertised, n is very safe when compared to conventional paint thinners. I was really happy with the way it cleaned my brushes and other painting tools and bucket, especially the brushes as much as they cost. It is also a very good cleaner for prepping the surface to be cleaned, I use gloves and rub the surface down thoroughly, great job. Klean strip works on wood, metal, plastic n painted surfaces. It goes on milky white and dried clear. Actually a gallon still, 128 ounces. It's a low smell and 65 percent renewable, ozone healthy product. Klean strip green does a fantastic job, really like this paint thinner n cleaner.

I needed to strip off some paint from a push cart for my son. It is made of plastic and was painted over a year ago. Due to not sealing it the paint started to get messed up and I wanted to redo the project. I used the Klean Strip Green Paint Thinner Clean and it easily started to take the old paint right off! It made it very easy to remove the paint and get started on repainting the push cart.

This paint thinner is amazing it doesn't have a chemical smell to it , I cleaned all of my paint brushes from previous projects and this paint thinner made my brushes soft again, some of the paint stain is still in them but it worked and mine are pretty old. The thinner comes out milk white and all I had to do was irritate the brushes in it and I had a good outcome.

So, I like the product. It does what it's supposed to. My project is still in progress. I recommend this. It's a thinner more than a stripper though, so do keep that in mind. I just needed paint to adhere better and this did the job fine. (Painting over stained chair) To total remove, go to a stripper.

I was quite surprised when I discovered there is such a thing as a "green" paint thinner and cleaner, namely, the Klean Strip Green Paint Thinner I'm writing about. It is a great thing to have, as in the past I never knew what to do with my "leftover" paint thinner after a project. You can only put used stuff in a jar and reuse just so many times before you have to dispose of it, and what do you do with a used petroleum product? Having something "green" is a good option! As far as performance, I would say that the KSGPT is functional and does the job. It didn't clean my brushes quite as fast as traditional thinner, but with a little daubing, it seemed to clean them just as well. Not ALL paint is removed from my brushes, but neither is that the case with traditional thinner (see pics). I was also a little put off by the white color (Augh! How can I see if it's working when it's not clear?!? :-) ), but that is just a matter of not being used to it. 50 years of experience with "traditional, non-green thinner" is hard to change! Because it takes a little longer and a little more effort to clean up oil-based paints than traditional thinner, I can't quite give it five stars. In summary, it works, though a little slow... and it is "green!"

I received this product to test as part of the Spark Reviewer program. I was very interested how it would clean my "old faithful" paint brush I've used countless times over the years. I love that this product has no noxious fumes. It's a milky-looking thick liquid. Following the instructions, I shook well and poured some into a plastic cup just high enough to cover the bristles. Swished it around for several minutes, wiped it off to check progress. Old paint WAS coming off but not as fast as I had expected. I let the brush soak for the next 6 hours. A lot of the many years of old paint was gone. But, it wasn't quite strong enough to really do the job that a non-Green chemical would do. I'm sure this will work perfectly on fresh paint projects, just don't expect miracles on your old brushes and equipment if they're carrying traces of previous projects.

this is like expensive water. this does nothing. it never removed not one Speck of paint. don't waste your time or money on this stuff
