Klean-Strip® Green™ Paint Thinner, 1 Gallon

Great product. Had spilled paint on the floor for over a week. Used a brush to paint over it with this paint thinner and used a plastic scraper with a cloth under it. Paint was gone. Cleaned the brushes also. It did the job. Highly recommend.

Klean Strip works great to clean out my paint gun after I finish a job. No more clogged guns for me. I like to also mix my oil based paint with klean strip to make application go on smoother. It makes clean up easier for me as well.

We've been working on painting several rooms of our home and this paint thinner has come in quite handy for cleaning our brushes so we can reuse them. The paint thinner works fast and very well at thinning out the paint so it washes off your brush easier than with just water. It's especially helpful if you've left the brush sitting too long for water alone to easily wash it. It doesn't take a lot either so this jug is going to last quite awhile.

This paint thinner is amazing it doesn't have a chemical smell to it , I cleaned all of my paint brushes from previous projects and this paint thinner made my brushes soft again, some of the paint stain is still in them but it worked and mine are pretty old. The thinner comes out milk white and all I had to do was irritate the brushes in it and I had a good outcome.

I was quite surprised when I discovered there is such a thing as a "green" paint thinner and cleaner, namely, the Klean Strip Green Paint Thinner I'm writing about. It is a great thing to have, as in the past I never knew what to do with my "leftover" paint thinner after a project. You can only put used stuff in a jar and reuse just so many times before you have to dispose of it, and what do you do with a used petroleum product? Having something "green" is a good option! As far as performance, I would say that the KSGPT is functional and does the job. It didn't clean my brushes quite as fast as traditional thinner, but with a little daubing, it seemed to clean them just as well. Not ALL paint is removed from my brushes, but neither is that the case with traditional thinner (see pics). I was also a little put off by the white color (Augh! How can I see if it's working when it's not clear?!? :-) ), but that is just a matter of not being used to it. 50 years of experience with "traditional, non-green thinner" is hard to change! Because it takes a little longer and a little more effort to clean up oil-based paints than traditional thinner, I can't quite give it five stars. In summary, it works, though a little slow... and it is "green!"

I received this product to test as part of the Spark Reviewer program. I was very interested how it would clean my "old faithful" paint brush I've used countless times over the years. I love that this product has no noxious fumes. It's a milky-looking thick liquid. Following the instructions, I shook well and poured some into a plastic cup just high enough to cover the bristles. Swished it around for several minutes, wiped it off to check progress. Old paint WAS coming off but not as fast as I had expected. I let the brush soak for the next 6 hours. A lot of the many years of old paint was gone. But, it wasn't quite strong enough to really do the job that a non-Green chemical would do. I'm sure this will work perfectly on fresh paint projects, just don't expect miracles on your old brushes and equipment if they're carrying traces of previous projects.

I don't know what this is but it is not like any paint thinner I am familiar with. It is not clear but like bad milk and needs to be shaken to poor... It was thicker than my oil based paint and did not mix but layered out in my feed container. It plugged my Graco airless painter, It was a waste of money and now, created a mess of problems, and now I also have a disposal problem getting rid of it . Shame on all involved in selling this aweful product...what ever it is?
