Panasonic DVD Player with Dolby Digital Sound, 1080p HD Upscaling, HDMI & USB Connections - DVD-S700

I will be buying a new tv, a Panasonic of course to go with my new dvd player. My grandson is going to hang it and do the set up on both of them plus the Direct tv. It's better than Christmas.

Easy to connect to TV and easy to use. If you power up the DVD player it also turns the TV on! Images are sharp and vibrant. The labeling on the remote could be improved with better description for fast forward by frame or by chapter. Print on remote is also hard to see in dim light.

Giving Panasonic another opportunity! Panasonic use to have impeccable quality, however the last 2 units I purchased 2023, did not last for 6-months. I never received any correspondence from Panasonic. My recommendation is still not official-have not had long enough to say yes or no

Although the DVD player may be wonderful, it came without an HDMI cable so I could not use it. This is outrageous! Why include the red/white/yellow cables and not the HDMI cable? Had I known this when I ordered it, I would have ordered the HDMI cable at the same time and saved myself a $6.99 shipping fee. BOTH type of cables should have been included with the DVD player. I am very upset!

This DVD player has a problem with certain DVD's. My son is severely autistic and wants to watch the same DVD over and over sometimes. If I am unable to catch the DVD before it ends it will not play again, and it only plays the last few seconds and the entire DVD player shuts down. I purchased an LG DVD player, which has far superior picture quality, plays all of his DVD's, and is much less frustrating to use.

To my surprise, when I ordered my Panasonic DVDS700 online You sent me a DVDS500 with DVDS700 Labels and box. IN REALITY IT IS A DVDS500 WITH COUNTERFEIT LABELS. CROOKS, SCAMMERS, THIEVES

This is supposed to be an all-region DVD player; it isn't. I'm going to have to go back to the store to return this defective item. Also, my experience picking up the player at the store was terrible. No one answered the phone at the pick-up section of the parking lot. I had to try 3 sets of door before I could find one that opened; I had to go inside the store to get the item.

The delivery company and walmart have conflicting stories for delivering a simple light electronics package that I did wait all day for since Walmart said it would be delivered today. The delivery company chat bot or person said they do not have a phone number anymore like that company did last time they screwed up delivery on candles from a famous company. I actually got phone number and talked to real person. and they solved it for me same Sunday morning and that was fine. This time, I ordered from Walmart and that other company wrote "it was delivered at 5:33 pm and that is not true at my address that Walmart gave them on file. I told other company "do retrain any driver as cold is damaging to electronics and I wasted all day expecting Walmart's claims I would get it today! A blu ray player that could have saved me time and money as it was a fine on on clearance sale was according to delivery company delivered but it was not as they did not read a simple Walmart zip code which was mine properly! At least Walmart I thought was more polite on chat box! so I give them a one but may never shop there at walmart ever again. Why waste time with delivery company that does seem to lie about the delivery and may have people attempting to steal something! I have to save my email on their lie and say the delivery company person is a mean one too! dumb is dumb and lying about a delivery is dumb to me by any driver who cannot read so why didn't he or she get a flashlight to highlight the address and zip code that walmart gave them? I am very angry as the competition never seems to get it wrong and they begin with an AMA>>>>>

It was missing from the order. Very loose security around Walmart.I've been there for pick up before , No security. People can grab anything from any car.

Very disappointed! The remote doesn't work! I tried several other batteries just to make sure the ones that came with were not bad, and it still didn't work. I wasn't impressed at all with the HDMI picture, I think it might have been a little grainier than the regular dvd player I was using. Now I have to pack it back up and send it back, another hassle. NOTE: Walmart please speak to the delivery companies about leaving packages at places other than the front door of some ones home. I'm disabled and had to risk falling down the stairs of my apartment building to get it, and breaking my hip. Plus I'm lucky my horrible neighbors didn't just open their door and grab it.
