Patak's Korma Simmer Sauce, 15 oz

i cut up some chicken thighs and placed in the slow cooker, added this jar of sauce, and half a jar of water. turned on the slow cooker and cook on low for about 4 hours, maybe 6, i cant remember. anyways, it was easy, and it was really good, not spicy, not to much curry, jsut right.

We buy 2 jars of this every month. It's super easy to make by frying some chicken in some oil, season with chicken bouillon, and pouring a jar of this korma sauce on top. Serve with jasmine rice, naan bread, and a steamed veggie and you've got yourself a delicious easy dinner! We love it!

This Korma sauce is so convenient and easy to use. We mix it with the masala sauce from the same brand and add it to browned chicken, garlic and frozen peas. We also heat up pre-made naan bread and a whole complete dinner is made! It's not as good as authentic Indian food, but for a weeknight simple dinner, it does the trick.

This jar of sauce is pure magic. My dream is to replicate my favorite Indian dishes with my own twist. Patak's korma sauces have allowed me to transform some of my basic recipes into a beautiful and aromatic dish. This sauce makes a perfect base for simmering your favorite protein be it chicken, lamb, pork or tofu. Served over basmati rice is pure heaven. This is a new must have for my pantry and I could not be happier thanks to discovering this at Walmart.

Great for a quick and easy meal! I cook onions, bell peppers, and chicken then add this sauce. It’s good with frozen peas and carrot mix, too. Serve on rice. Then boom, dinners done! Easy peasy! Tastes like a sweet coconut milk sauce with some mild spices. If you like it spicy, you’ll have to add some heat to it, it’s very mild. But yummy.

My kids have been asking me to explore new cultures in my cooking and we all gave this a 5 out of 5. It is mild in spice but has LOTS of flavor. We absolutely looooooved it. We made ours with chicken, onions and bell peppers. It came out sooooo tender and so goooood. There were nooooo left overs at all. YUM.

Great for chicken curry. My Indian neighbor turned me on to it. Follow the directions on bottle, and add some chicken knorr powder. Also instead of using yogurt to cream up the sauce, Try sour cream. The family noticed the change in flavor right away. Such a better ingredient to use that pulled out more of the spices.

I love this sauce. Tastes like authentic Indian flavor, but less spicy than anything I actually ate in India. The coconut gives it a slightly gritty texture, which I don't love. But overall I enjoy the product, and when I mix the sauce with lots of chunky vegetables, I don't notice the texture of the coconut.

I got this Patak Korma curry simmer sauce for free in return for my honest review. It was lacking in flavor for me and my family. We love Indian food which tends to have bold flavors, this doesn’t. It’s super mild. I don’t taste spices and absolutely no pepper like with most Indian foods. I’m not saying it’s not good. It taste ok, a bit on the sweet side. We had it with basmati rice. I will try other sauces from this brand but get spicy instead of mild with hopes it has more flavor.

Our family likes to try new foods and usually we enjoy it all. We have a local restaurant with fantastic Korma. We know a bottled sauce will never be as good as homemade, but this was absolutely terrible. First, the flavor wasn't bad. With a little added spices we could have made it flavorful. Our issue with this sauce is the coconut. I would expect a little hint of coconut flavor in Korma. However, this sauce is FULL of shredded coconut. LOTS of shredded coconut. The texture was far from creamy and was not what it should be. Some shredded coconut as a garnish for a little bit of texture would be ok. This was not ok. We do NOT recommend this particular Korma sauce. There has to be better ones out there.
