A very cute and fun family movie that involves Robin Williams as a doctor for kids. He makes them laugh and smile. Very nice movie
It was a great movie. It made you laugh and cry. I recommend this movie.
Incredible movie based on a real story.
good movie. i bought it because i haven't seen this movie in yrs.
This movie is one of my favorite movies of all time. Often times I find that movies based on true stories can be hit or miss, and this one was definitely a hit.
I think Patch Adams is one of the best movies ever. Robin Williams is amazing and the Blu Ray presentation is excellent.
I was not able to watch it as the Blue Ray DVD would not operate in my BlueRay DVD player
Universal presents Patch Adams in 1080p AVC at 2.35:1 on a BD-50, but the high bitrate cannot disguise an aging master. Although the image is clearer than DVD, its heavily processed appearance is disappointing. Much of the natural film grain has been smoothed away, leaving faces, clothing, and hospital interiors looking soft and occasionally waxy. Colors are muted, from the outdoor greenery to Patch's bright red clown nose, while pale skin tones, weak blacks, and limited shadow depth rob scenes of vitality. Sporadic specks and source debris remain visible. Compression itself is generally stable, but this is a flat, artificial-looking presentation that badly needs a fresh scan and restoration. The English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track (48 kHz/24-bit) fares considerably better. This dialogue-driven film rarely calls for aggressive surround effects, yet conversations are clear, well balanced, and firmly anchored in the center channel. Hospital corridors, classrooms, and outdoor gatherings receive gentle atmospheric support, while Marc Shaiman's sentimental score spreads smoothly across the front stage with occasional surround presence. Bass activity and dynamic range are understandably restrained. French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and Japanese DTS 5.1 tracks are also provided. The lossless English mix is clean and appropriate to the material, even if it offers little home-theater spectacle. Universal retains a useful collection of legacy supplements, all video extras presented in standard definition. Director Tom Shadyac provides a commentary discussing the film's development and emotional themes. The Medicinal Value of Laughter (18 minutes) combines cast and crew interviews with material about the real Patch Adams. Deleted scenes (10 minutes), outtakes (5 minutes), a storyboard-to-film comparison (7 minutes), a photograph montage (7 minutes), and the theatrical trailer complete the selection. The extras offer welcome production context but no substantial new retrospective. English SDH and numerous international subtitles are included. This is a single-disc release without a bundled DVD or digital copy. Inspired by the life of physician Hunter “Patch” Adams, Tom Shadyac's comedy-drama gives Robin Williams ample opportunity to blend exuberant humor with heartfelt compassion. Monica Potter, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Bob Gunton provide capable support. The film's message about treating patients as people remains appealing, although its sentimentality, broad institutional villains, and fictionalized storytelling can feel manipulative. The 2016 Blu-ray is a mixed proposition: clear lossless sound and worthwhile archival extras are undermined by an overly processed, lifeless image. At a bargain price it serves fans adequately, but collectors seeking faithful film texture should hope for a genuinely restored edition.
I don't have a car it was open and damaged
