The last couple years I have been buying the plastic covered wire tie outs. Never again. The last straw was a knock on our door when we tied our dog out for a last nites potty and this wonderful woman said she almost hit our dog but caught her by the broken covered tie out that was still attached to her collar! We were soooo lucky she'd been out 5 minutes when this happened we will never use those again. Keep your furbaby safe use a Peerless chain. Especially if your dog gets excited by nite animals like rabbits or cats that might be out there in the dark. Nite or day!!

it was a great purchase for a very temporary need. i only had to use it for a week following a surgery. it was not that heavy and it was really good quality. no issues. my dog is a medium sized mix breed who pulls to chase the squirrels and it kept him safe.

Works great for our German shepherd that is four months old. She either has chewed or just pulled out any other tie out chains so this did the trick! She doesn't like it but for her safety, it's a must sometimes

I've seen alot of reviews that say it's too “big %26 heavy”. It does have weight to it, but it looks really thin at first if im being honest. Surprisingly it's holding on strong after 3-4 weeks without breaking. (Yet. Hopefully not in a long time.)

Still going strong. Like that it's a good length not to long not to short. Didn't have any issues with the chains getting tangled or ripped through yet. Durable enough for my pitbull to use. Would recommend I did see some reviews that mentioned the locks are not to good, so I have one just in case we need it.

love this got a medium size dog that acts like a kangaroo kept breaking the thick cords i was getting for her this has not got tangled up and she hasnt broke it she was a little scared of it when i first put it on her cause of the noise it made now she used to it runs and jumps like always

I was invited to rate this item that I purchased earlier today, however, have not used it yet. I can't speak to how well it works or doesn't but what I can say is this chain weighs a TON! Heavy duty in just its weight would be correctly described. I took it out of its box and held it long enough to say “I need to return this item.” My Yorkies have a terrible time chewing through “heavy duty” tie-outs that have the braided wire with that plastic type covering so I figured this might work, but WAY TOO heavy duty. Will reorder a more appropriate size. I didn't notice right on the photo ad it says “100 lb load”. It was my mistake. This chain more appropriate for a much heavier pet.

This chain is strong and with the 20$ it's also long. I've had both of my big dogs hooked onto both ends of this chain and then hooked onto a hook in the yard and it was still durable. This is my second time buying one so now they both have their own chain to venture further

I've used cable tie outs rated for a 200lb dog, my dog would break them in no time, the chain worked so much better when I take her outside.

Love how the chain is lightweight so it doesn't weigh heavy on my dogs neck, but it's strong enough for him. He weighs 180lbs and the chain has held up so far for five months. The swivel hooks that come with it, however, are worthless, and suggest buying your own. My smaller dog broke them, so I don't know what they think 'heavy duty' is. Gave it 4 stars for the chain. I like how it doesn't tangle either.
