I've taught skiing for over 22 years and have had a good deal of experience with chains. This is the best design of chain to use as one doesn't need to move their car in order to install these chains. Once installed the traction is very good. The product is very durable. Joining parts of the chains are colored coded and the instructions are printed on a large, easy to read plastic sheet. The plastic sheet won't dissolve in the rainy snowy weather . I highly recommend this product.
I'm a 30 year old mother of 2 toddlers. We live on the side of a mountain in WV. This year, we purchased a 2016 Dodge Duango that was struggling to go up and down our road during icier snow. I purchased these and it was the best decision ever. I can put them on in under 5 minutes on the side of the road, and just drive down/up our hill. They take even less time to take off. Highly recommend!
Don't have a link handy, but these are re-branded german chains (at least brand-wise). They are overkill for normal snow and ice, but I carry 2 sets a piece in my 4Runner and GX for mudding and pulling my neighbors dodge ram out of the snow (wish he would just get a set for himself...)
As for the chains…same thing as the creamer but crazier. Everywhere else is much higher cost, had poor labeling on what size tires actually fit the chains I was looking at, wasn't as easy to install and just….it was a huge headache looking for the right chains. When I went to your app, I just typed in my size tire and it hat in the chains I was looking for and voila! Mission accomplished. Clearly labeled. Easy to install.
I've never used chains before and these chains were pretty easy to put on and even easier to take off - all w minimal hassle and no need to adjust/tighten after initial install. Worth the $$.
It does take more then a min to put them on especialy in the snow and cold. They do get tangled. Like the lift clip to extend the wire hook, this wont get stuck like a button. They work great in snow really well. Have not tried mud yet. Overall I am happy with them
We used these chains on our 2015 Toyota Highlander AWD during recent storms that dropped 20" of snow each day for 3 days straight. Vehicle drove like a champ on snow and ice. No issues at all. Installation is relatively easy. The self adjustment is wonderful.
yes, these are light weight. and easy to install. but they are too lightweight, cheap, and do not last. you are better off stepping up to the next higher level of more expensive chains. then add the rubber tensioner strap.
Broke in less than half a mile, reached out for warranty claim but they rejected stating the following: I don't know who will do research on the chain not just buying the first product on Google or Walmart search Please be advised that tire sizing is always changing and so product packaging will not always have the most up to date fitment recommendations. We apologize for this confusion. The best place to find our most accurate fitment recommendations is our Tire Chain Finder (linked below). Peerless | Tire Chain Finder
Walmart Policy for Snow Chains is unacceptable. Could not return brand new still in packaged Snow Chains. Did not specify of Final Sale when purchased. Very disappointed. $149 down the drain.
