Plug and use as expected. Only assemble caster/wheels to base, simple. I liked the trash drawer which to me is it's highlight. How long will it last? Who knows, my last smaller shredder lasted over a decade with occasional usage, I expect this shredder to last just as long.

I have had one in my office for over 5 years and it has not missed a beat, so I ordered one for our other office. I wish it was quieter, but I appreciate how it has auto shut-off.

This machine is incredible. It is not lighweight, so plan on rolling it from place to place. Hopefully, find a spot where you can leave it. It is very high quality through and through. And man, does it shred. It's not fast, it's not slow. But it doesn't get bogged down either. I can put entire unopened letters in it with no problem. My old machine I had to open the letter and feed about four sheets at a time. This is a huge time saver. I can put 10-12 sheets of stapled documents at the same time, with no problems. And the shredded paper is so small, it's unbelievable. Highly recommended

I have wanted a shredder for a very long time now. I was so excited to receive it, and when it arrived it was exactly what I needed and expected. The collection bin fits up to 5.2 gal. It's all plastic, has got a switch on top that does Auto function, FRW, REV and off. It can cut up to 16 sheets at a time , has got overheat indicator, which is a plus. Comes with 4 rollers that can be easily snapped into the bottom of the bin for easy moving. I l8ve the fact that the bin is very easy to change, it just pulls out for easy dumping of the cut material. This shredder is so amazing, it cuts not only paper, but also has a slot for cutting credit cards, CDs, staples and paper clips! It does a perfect cross cut, which is perfect for me to use for daily pile of junk mail. I absolutely love this shredder, the quality is great, the cut is perfect, it's so easy to use and it doesn't take up much space at all. It shreads really fast too, I have never owned a shredder before, so I thought that it would take it some time to get the paperwork shredded, but no it does the job quick and it does it well! After a day of using it, I have already recommended it to some of my friends who were in the market to purchase one. Love it!!!!

This Pen and Gear 16 page shredder is a beast! It has taken all I have thrown at it and more. Pizza boxes. shipping boxes. food container boxes. This machine grinds thru all of it. This would work for home or a small office. It is not really loud while operating. Easy to manuever thanks to the wheels on bottom. Keep it oiled and you will have no problems.

The 10 Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder was easy to put together, very simple, all you have to do is attach the waste bin to the shredder cabinet and voila, you're done. It recommends no more than 10 sheets inserted at one time. I had no problem with the machine inserting this amount. I love that you can have the shredder powered on to the auto position and as soon as you insert the paper, the machine kicks into action. As soon as the sheets you've inserted are complete, the machine automatically deactivates. It has three other settings also, such as off, forward and reverse. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a lot of shredding to do at one time or someone who has the time to sit and shred if they have a lot of papers.

The Shredder is SMALLER than advertised and the crosscut shredding picks up and transfers a LOT OF STATIC ELECTRICITY to the confetti residue in the residue bin - and when it is emptied, the residue either sticks to the body of the bin/shredder or flies all over the area around the shredder - making a total mess! CURRENTLY LOOKING for a larger and less hassle type of crosscut shredder.

Extremely heavy duty shredder. It can manage 16 pages with only minimal slowdown in the motor - 10 pages or under it cuts through like nothing. Had no issues with staples at all; did't try paperclips. Like most other shredders, the paper didn't always fall into the bin, which caused the sensors to think the bin was full. Annoying, but not uncommon. Overall, the shredder is amazing. The bin/support, not so much so - and the reason for only 3 stars. It's awesome that the bin pulls out to empty - very convenient - and the clear window lets you see immediately how full it is. The housing and bin itself, though, is made of the cheapest plastic imaginable. Just mounting the shredder head on the bin casing, I was afraid to crack the plastic because it's so flimsy and the shredder is tremendously heavy. I'm wondering how the bin will hold up to repeated pulling in and out over time - I have a feeling the shredder will outlast the bin. Still, the shredder does exactly what it says it can, with ease, which is why I would recommend it.

ITEM WAS DELIVERED USED! Box was barely retaped shut, paper shreds in the blades, protective bag NOT on the item and just crumpled up in the waste bin, electrical cord very loosely rewound.

I was shredding papers for the first time with this paper shredder that says it will do eight sheets at a time. It bound up after five sheets. It took me over an hour to get it going again. Now I only do two or three sheets at a time. I paid $40 for this paper shredder. It is the biggest waste of money. The $15 one I had before worked way better than this one -wish I would have kept it. Please take my advice and look for a different machine if you would like to be able to shred more than a few papers at a time.
