Great rod nice and strong yet still sensitive to every bite, took it rock fishing in Channel Islands and performed amazing even when doubled up on big cods

The rod has a very stiff tip. poor packaging when shipped caused two of the rods to be damaged in shipping

boat rod
Walmart.com was the only place I found it and it was an excellent price, i bought it for monster catfish and shark fishing from the beach and river banks have to buy the appropriate reel to test it out but happy so far

The eyelets are durable but need rinsed immediately after saltwater use because they are steel.

Rod came in damaged the top eye was bent and the eye fell out of the box . and the return and reship process seems to take a long time .
