this potting soil is awesome. my plants look so healthy and I wasn't sure if this soil would help me or not. I had a couple of plants that just looked horrible . the potting soil was old and the plantI wasn't sure what to buy but when I came across Pennington rejuvenate premium all purpose potting soil and mixed it in my plants took off and they look fabulous.
Amazing results! I used this in my started trays for my fall plants and I swear you could sit and watch them grow! Oh, I didn’t know you could touch that and it would make it show better
This ! This is an amazing potting soil!!! I don't expect much from this but it's light and yet may rival some more expensive brand name! This is MY go to potting soil now!
A good size for occasional potting of small plants. Wonderful rich soil, moist but not clumpy. Zero gnats inside the bag (which I have experienced b4) eww Fairly priced and arrived quickly. Happy!
This potting soil is doing well for my Christmas cactus plants. It is a good dirt that is not heavy and thick but a light and crumbly mixture that absorbs the water but drains quickly too avoiding stem rot. My old plant is growing and blooming since I repotted it in this soil. I would recommend this for any houseplants.
I have ALWAYS used Miracle Grow potting soil, but their quality has degraded so much (bags full of sticks and grub eggs!) I tried a bag of Pennington for the first time. After using half the bag so far, the jury is still out, BUT so far it's okay.
The soil is light with fine composting. No big wood chips. Plenty fine enough for easy root growth. It contains a lot of natural ingredients and worm castings but is not fully organic looking at the label. Despite having an amount of pearlite, after watering it remained damp for quite a few days. It does retain water so be aware when choosing which plants. Moisture retention is a great quality for hanging baskets. This is the time of year I re-pot my home grown bonsai as I've found it best done when they are dormant. Usually I make up my own mixture of peat moss, soil, pearlite and plant food, but this year I am using this.
The soil is rich and looks amazing, however, the bag I purchased was heavily infested with soil gnats. It has been an impossible challenge to control them. I’ve applied pesticides and also yellow sticky tape traps to no avail. The photo shown is one day of gnat trap capture. I will be repotting my plants in different soil this weekend.
We wanted something to use for small indoor pots. It is called "potting soil" after all, and claims to be "premium" quality. Well, it is totally unusable for pots thanks to the giant chunks of wood and other debris that's in it. Photo attached with a quarter coin for scale. We were very disappointed. It might work for a large, outdoor raised bed, but definitely not for what we needed. Ended up purchasing a replacement product.
I did not receive the appropriate soil that I ordered. It wasn't the right one they picked up whatever they wanted so I sold it to my sister and every time when I order something from Walmart, they never get the exact item that I wanted and instead of them calling me and telling me they just send it to me so I sold it to my sister. I will never order anything from Walmart again I'll just come into the store and pick it up.
