Pennington Recipe Selects Sunflower Chips Wild Bird Food, 15 lb

This product is preferred by our bird population to whole sunflower seeds and there is much less waste. The packaging is ideal for pouring seed into my long tube feeder. So far my only complaint is that it has become so popular at my preferred Walmart that it is often out of stock. I would move up to the larger bag but that weight is hard to handle. Although I do not invite his participation at my feeders much less this review, our local squirrel insists I send along his 5 star review as well.

i love these sunflower seeds because the cardinals love them. i can look out my kitchen window and watch them on my bird feeders. The yellow finches love them also. The combination of the red cardinals and yellow finches sitting on my bird feeders and flying to and fro when a red winged black bird attempts to drive each of them away is a beautiful sight and quite entertaining to watch.

I dislike the insecurity of doing any business on line and the possibility my order could be incorrect as with other companies I have been forced to use . However I have been very satisfied with Walmarts ability to deliver or pickup at local store if items correctness is critical.

Pricey but my mourning doves love to eat this. They eat all through the winter so I keep this on hand. They are ground feeders so I spread it all around for them. There are about .25 and it is a beautiful site to see. I will continue to feed them as long as they come.

I've been searching for a 15 lb. of sunflower chips and have only found the whole seed, which is what I've been using. The little sparrows and songbirds to my feeder need smaller chips and these are PERFECT! They just cost a tiny more than the 15 lb. of the whole seed I usually get (needing without the shell for my patio).

During the latest freeze we used up all our seed and had to get more. These fit in with the other bird food in our feeders and makes it easier for the smaller birds to eat. Bag was easy to carry and empty into our feed bin. No debris in the feeders or on the ground

Our backyard birds absolutely love this seed. Seems they've invited all their feathered friends as we could go through a bag a week if we filled the feeders up. Thrilled that every morsel is eaten and no mess left under the feeder. The squirrels, doves, chipmunks and bunnies seem to enjoy it as well as they are often seen under the feeder eating any scraps.

all of my birds love this even the blue birds love it and when they have little ones in the spring the male blue bird who feeds all of them makes easy trips from the sidewalk to the bird house and then teaches them where the food is to eat on their own. the best thing however is its small enough to easily eat and no shell to crack

My backyard birds (finches, sparrows, Juncos and Lesser Goldfinches) LOVE these hulled sunflower seeds! I never had the Lesser Goldfinches until I started putting these sunflower seeds out. I use a hanging pan that looks like a pie pan for these hulled sunflower seeds. It is the most popular feeder in my yard. A lot of the birds do not want to eat the regular bird seeds I also put out in a regular bird feeder. I think I have really spoiled them 😊

These are not sunflower "CHIPS." They are a mix of mostly sunflower KERNELS, with a small amount of chips here and there. For my smaller birds, I have to put these through the food processor to grind them down smaller, which I wish the producer had done in the first place, and certainly had not advertised them only as chips. Misleading. Yes, I would recommend them, as the quality seems to be good and clean, but you should be prepared to food process them if you want something smaller than kernels for the littler Birds.
