Pet Champion Plastic Tie-Out Stake with Stabilizer Wings for Dogs

I received the pet champion brand stake that allows you to tie your dog to this post. It is grey in color and has notches down the sides so it wont come out of the ground as easy. There is a clasp on the top that you hook the dog leash to. It is like a silver ring on the top. This stake measures pretty good size but to me seems light weight. This particular stake will only handle dogs up to 40 pounds and mine is right at 28 pounds so I might have to firmly secure this thing. So far I think it is a great idea for camping because it is easy to store. It is easy to get the lease hooked so and would be great for little dogs. I also have a lab and there is no way it would hold a lab but smaller dogs would be no problem. It is sixteen inch long. So far I think it is good and does the job, just make sure to get the correct weight for your dog.

I use it to prevent tangling of the chain and it works well. I have not had it long enough to determine if it will eventually rust but based on the way it looks and feels I doubt it will rust as time passes. Based on my experience with it so far, I would recommend it without reservation.

This is a very sturdy plastic. It was simple to hammer into the ground. I tie my pit bull out with it for a few hours during the day. It stays in the ground. Be careful where you install it into the ground, because it does not come back out. The hardware on it is also very solid and sturdy.

I was very impressed with the Pet Champion Plastic Tie-Out Stake with Stabilizer Wings. It is very durable unlike flimsy ones I have seen in the past. I think it's mostly because of the Stabilizer Wings. But the fact that the material used in the making of this tie out stake is so very hard and durable. It should last for a very long time, even with the most strong dog tied to it on a lead. I don't think a dog could possibly pull this out of the ground as long as it is put in deep.

Very large stake and easy to get it in to the ground. We only had our small Yorkie on it at first and did well, of course he isn't breaking free. We even had my brother n laws dog on it, he is a German Shepard and he didn't break it. I also like this much better then tying a dog up to something like a table edge if your camping or such. Because they can't get tangled up. Give them a long cord. And shade is important. It's made well and very durable. Can put it in even sand. Glad to have this. Will always take it camping with us for sure!

My dog loves to go to the beach with me but i hate having to hold on to him all the time . if i let him loose he runs and i wind up chasing down the beach . i have tried the cork skrew type leash holders but they seem to pull right out . i gave this one a try and as long as its sunk in deep rnough it does the job . letting me relax and enjoy my day also .

This is a great tie out stake for dogs weighing up to 40 pounds. The product is made with an ABS plastic construction and measures approximately 16 inches long. At the top of the stake is a metal ring where you can attach your pet’s leash. One suggestion would be that when you are putting the stake into compacted soil, do not use a hammer as it can damage the plastic stake, rather use a rubber mallet. Overall, this is a great option for small dogs.

This is a pretty simple product. I use it when I go out and garden in my yard. My dog loves to be with me, but this area is not a great spot for him to roam around. This tie out works great. He doesn't get tangled up and has a full radius to wander around. I have a really long lead that I use for it. The only issue I could see would be that since it is plastic I suppose if you mistreat it, it could crack. It seems pretty strong though. It says for dogs up to 40 pounds. The tie out itself is 16”. My 25 pound dog did not seem to strain it at all. I do not think you will be disappointed.

I was surprised that this held up to me pounding it into the ground, it being plastic and all, but it DID alright! The hook on top held the dog line perfectly and it functioned as it was designed. All that being said, though, I do NOT recommend buying this version of anchor. We've had metal ones for years (both the twist in kind and the push in and twist kind.) They have never failed us. I like the metal one we have now. It goes into the ground easily and is not difficult to pull back out. The plastic one, I fear, will crack over time & use and it is VERY difficult to get out of the ground! Additionally, the metal one we have has a top that rotates. It's an excellent feature that helps keep the dog tie detangled. This plastic one does NOT have that feature. It just has the loop. I say, pay more and invest in a good metal anchor. It'll be worth the cost!

D ring broke off within the first week that we had it, it is now stuck in the ground and we will have to get a shovel to get it out.
