Usually dewormer will make my dog a bit sick in the tummy, but this stuff was fine. He gave me a hard time because they're not chewable, but we worked past that. He also didn't have crazy runs after use, but that could be because he didn't actually have worms and I was running a preventative treatment due to possible exposure.
My dog had signs of possible infestation. After giving him the pill he hasn't been acting like he has a problem anymore. Actually, the instructions are a little vague about when to give him a second dose so I'm just keeping my eye on him. So far though, there have been no problems.
I've feed my Doberman, frozen beef, bone marrow bones and every so often I will use these to deworm her because of the frozen beef bone marrow bones and it's very gentle fast acting. I don't like putting chemicals in her butt. I'm pleased with this highly recommend.
My German Shepherd ate something nasty and was really sick about 2 weeks later. i gave her these and within a day she went from seriously ill to perky and wanting to play ball. she ate them right out if my hand! no grinding them up and adding to food or trying to hide in a treat. its amazing how quickly she came back. Highly reocommend!
I got a great deal on the 6 month supply. This is the only brand I trust. I had shopped online for awhile till I found this brand which helps with tapeworms as well. No problem with administering the med as it can be wrapped with cheese or bacon or broken up in small pieces. Walmart even sends notifications when I start getting low. Well worth the price as they are much more expensive on other websites. Hope this helps someone decide. For my pet they always get these.
The directions were incomplete! The vet had said that a repeat dose was needed of their brand to kill the eggs about a month after the initial dose, this box did not say if the repeat dose was or wasnt needed. It didn't talk about what to watch for if effective or ineffective.
My dog can smell these in absolutely anything I try to hide them in so it becomes a struggle to get her to take them. She is a bigger dog so it takes a lot of patience. We have to leave them sitting in a hot dog for a while so the smell of the medicine mingles with the hot dog smell, and that usually works. They are pills, about the size of a regular tylenol. They work, usually in a day or two, so they are worth the effort.
This is a better priced item than many dewormers and seems to work quite well. I was a bit concerned of how the box was dented / crushed. I don't know if the box was in that condition when it was shipped or if it got in that condition from being shipped but it shouldn't really affect the product. It was shipped quickly and arrived usable so I'm content.
Nice to have a trusted brand and no prescription needed. Quick and easy to use for my medium to large dog. It works fine, but packaging could use clearer instructions.
Do not have it shipped—instead of promised arrival date - it took a week to have shipped—I would have bought at another store vs waiting a WEEK!!!!!!!!
