Easy to assemble. It feels sturdy. I recommend it for senior cats. If your cat doesn't use it at first, then give it time. My cat wasn't fond of it at first, but now he uses it every day. He wasn't used to it and needed my help to learn how to use it. I recommend leaving treats or toys on the steps. Rub some catnip on it. Coax them up with a churu or something they love. Once in a while, I'd even feed my cat his lunch on it.
We have a very tall bed and a short 70+lbs spoiled rotten pitbull princess. Do you see where this is going? She uses it to get up on bed but can jump down fine. It works great, she loves it so we love it. Make sure to put the thing together sticker treads & all before you let your use it.
I have bought a couple different doggy steps in the past couple of years that I just threw away because they were flimsy junk. This one was the same price and I was pleasantly surprised. It is plastic but firm and solid . I don't have to worry about it falling over or snapping into. You will probably have to coax your dog to walk up it by giving him a treat (if your doggy isn't used to steps.) I had to get these because my little dog hurt his back and could no longer jump up on the couch . He wasn't used to stairs. It took a piece of chicken on the top step and some enticing and Wa La ! Very useful . Plus it folds up so you can easily move it around. I like it!
Very sturdy. I like that the stairs are lightly padded. It is just the right height for our couch, which our dog has made her own! Took about a week, but now she uses it all the time.
I have a little yorkie so perfect size. I don't think the steps would work for medium size dogs and bigger. Steps a little slippery; I just covered them. Couldn't be any easier to set up. Good construction. Noel loves her steps! Reasonably priced.
The leg on the back of these steps does stay in the slots so they fold up when you don't want them to and the non slip material on the step surface is not thick enough to stop the dogs from slipping and one even fell off of the steps. I had to put a screw in the back so they won't fold up and I also added carpet to the stairs so my boys don't fall any more. I would not recommend this product to anyone else.
If you only want the steps so your pet can get on a couch or chair it is perfect for that, but if you want it for your pet to get on the bed it is not tall enough.
Legs won't snap in. Had to re-engineer the legs with 2 pieces of 2x4 wood and bolts. My chihuahuas only weigh 7-9 ponds each and these steps didn't even last two weeks! They slid everywhere and my wife had to put rubber under the legs to protect our hardwood floors. Buyers beware!!!!!
We are goingto return it. It is not sturdy and the back doesn't stay in place. The steps also slide around and scared both my dogs. They both don'twant to go near it.
It was broken when I took it out of the box. Now I'm waiting for a replacement with no communication from the company that the one I sent had been received and my replacement has been shipped. Do not recommend.
