Blades are sharp, as noted by seller. My mistake at first was my handling them wrong, so 2 cuts! Set it on a secure surface to prevent sliding. It works really well. I chopped up my onions, potatoes, and veggies quickly. Great purchase and fun to play with all the attachments. 😊

For the money it IS worth it. It does function properly however it takes a bit to get whatever it is you're chopping to go through. Cleaning is easier when you use the tool they give you or if you have your own brush. Remember to cut whatever it is you're chopping into quarters that will make it easier as well.

This chopper is disappointing for some major reasons: 1. The chopping top only 'rests' on the clear container underneath. It doesn't snap on, or even have much of a rim or 'lip' to stop it from sliding all over the place. 2. The amount of force needed to chop through sturdy vegetables is too high for how lightweight and flimsy the container is. I feared it would crack the brittle thin plastic, and sure enough it did! 3. This was the WORST part: the square of cutting space is so small, you have to cut the produce into such small chunks to fit in there, it is barely saving any time to chop them smaller, especially when you have to re-position chunks and slam the arm down over and over. Not to mention the time cleaning the mess. 4. By "mess" I don't just mean washing the chopper itself. -It works so poorly that pieces fly all over the counter and floor. I don't see myself using this thing very much. Might as well just stick with using a knife and cutting board.

Bought this to replace a similar one I had used for 10 years that finally broke. This slicer was awful, more trouble than help. The lid does not stay on, no rubber pads to keep the base from sliding. Started slicing celery, all got smashed onto the blade and trying to remove was a mess. I would not recommend this item at all, it is very cheaply made. The one I had before was a Mainstays brand and I was not able to find the same item at the time. After using this slicer and all the problems I had, I went to Walmart and did find a Mainstays slicer to replace the one I had used for 10 years.

I got this and a cookbook filled with Texas salsa recipes that I bought in the Texas Hill Country. The family member I gave it to said it broke the first time he used it. He's an avid chef and knows how to use and care for food appliances %26 such. This was so embarrassing for me!

This was definitely one of the worse purchases I've done in a while. When I was cleaning it before use, one small piece came out. I tried cutting an onion and it had a hard time with the last layer every time. Then I tried cutting a tomato with a bigger blade and it smush the tomato instead of cutting it. I also hurt my hand pushing the plastic down since there is no handle to bring the blades down or friction to lock the item in place on my counter. I understand this is not rocket science but there was no introduction on how to insert the blades correctly and it came with unnecessary items like an egg yolk separator. I had to cut the veggies to a smaller size just for the blades to still not cut them; it was just easier to cut my own veggies.

The food chopper looks like it has all the attachments that are needed if the machine would allow enough force to be applied to actually cut through the food. it was impossible to chop onions because the machine bent as I was pushing down on it. I tried cutting the onions smaller and the onion simply spread across the top of the blades. The onions were fresh and crisp. They should have chopped! I'll be trying more vegetables soon, but I don't think they will be much better.

I purchased this chopper because I wanted to save time and also have a little bit of an easier time cutting vegetables but this chopper was not the solution. Instead this chopper gave me problems throughout the whole chopping process. It does not save time, I knew I would still have to cut down the food to fix the square but actually doing it makes you realize that since you still have to cut it down to size, it's basically the same amount of time you'd spend hand cutting - not much time saved. This chopper also has a sticking point right before it closes all the way for the chop. It doesn't close/line up correctly and blades will sometimes hit the green piece used to push the food out while chopping and they'll move out of place. After having to constantly fix the bottom blade I put this away for a while.. Finally I decided to give it another chance and I'm chopping - when I went to lift the cover because I had to fix the blade again I noticed little green shavings in the bottom container that catches the food. The reason why the blades kept moving is because they were hitting the bottom layer and cutting off little pieces of the green plastic part that pushes the food through. Needles to say, I threw that food out and haven't used this chopper since and I won't use it again. Don't buy this one unless you're ok with spending extra time to get this chopper to kind of work and having a side of plastic shavings in the food you're eating.

I'm very disappointed with this product only able to use it one time and it didn't work for my Easter diner preparation I'm very disappointed and want a Refund

This chopper broke apart the second time I used it.I threw it away. I tried to cancel the order a week before it was delivered but Walmart refused to honor my request
