I absolutely love this TV. It’s also very light, probably weighing no more than 10 pounds. This is a major plus because a lot of TVs are heavy and this makes it easy to hang on the wall. The only thing I don’t like is there are no buttons to manually turn the TV on and off so if you lose your remote, you’ll have to unplug the cord from the wall.

Ease of use. our of the box this tv works with an antenna. No internet necessary! receive local stations and channels fast and easy. Roku is excellent get rid of your internet channels and hook this up. just saying you get these channel for free. What can be bad with that. Pay TV is well over rated. you can get movies on demand if you want to watch something special.

Nice TV, amazing value.

cindy September 28, 2025

I've only had this one day, but thought I'd chime in. I bought the 32 in budget friendly HD Borderless LED TV that was on sale, cannot afford huge TVs with all the bells and whistles now that I'm retired. My big old LG tv stopped working after about 13 years, so I had to go shopping on my retirement budget. I cut the cord about 12 years ago and have been streaming with a roku box since then, so I was not new to Roku when I bought this TV. I was new to Roku TV and wanted to cut that last cord and try one. As I said- on a budget. My first thought was an inexpensive Roku brand TV that wasn't on sale, then I saw this Phillips TV on sale for even less than the Roku brand TV. Phillips has been a notable name for a long time, so I went with this. Assembly was simple. Connecting to my wi-fi was simple. I don't have anything else connected to my TV, so I can't comment on that. Being familiar with Roku, set up was a breeze. I signed in to my roku account and all my apps came right up. I had to sign in to some of my paid apps, but my sign in on others carried over from my roku account. Connecting my new TV to my roku app/remote on my phone and tablets was also simple. **Note- My Roku app remote on my phone is how I use my bluetooth ear buds or headphones to watch my TV when needed. ** I hated the picture. I tinkered with settings and got the screen exactly the way I like it. I had to customize the picture setting sharpness to 100, customise the color a little, and set display brightness to darker. I tried Roku Smart Picture and it was good, but I like the vivid setting better for some things, like news. I customized sound to leveling so commercials don't blast louder than my shows. All these settings are easily accessed through the star button on the remote. I went in to the settings on the TV itself and removed all the junk cluttering my home screen so all I see is my apps, which is my personal preference. Those settings are accessed by scrolling up one click above home on the left side of the TV screen then tapping the right arrow. I also set my regular Roku background and screen saver from that section. I honestly love this TV now as much as I loved my expensive LG! I was able to get my picture and sound exactly the way I like them, and it was very easy. I had a problem with buffering on Discovery last night, but I switched apps to (free) Tubi TV and no problem at all. I've had issues with the Discovery app before, so it's the app, not the TV. All of my apps are working great. I love the convenience of only one remote and have had no problems with it. Mine didn't have voice, but I don't need that. I also like not having a Roku box HDMI cord to mess with. One plug, one remote. Perfect! Now to see if Roku TVs last a long time. I hope so, but if they don't I'll buy this budget friendly tv again. I'm very happy with my new TV. Just play with settings until you get it exactly the way you want it. It takes a little time, but it's not hard.

I wasn’t sure if this Philips 32” smart Roku television was what I was looking for. I was surprised, this television was just what I was looking. The picture was clear and sharp with quality sound. I’m planning on buying another Philips, I’m not sure if it will be the same model or not.

the TV was on sale, and my other one blew up. so far I love it. beautiful picture, channels change effortlessly, and couldn't beat the price. it's the first Phillips I've ever owned. but it's well worth it. I would recommend this to other people for sure.

For an inexpensive tv it does it's job

David July 10, 2025

At 32 inches it is average size but you get a clear picture, plenty of channels and it works good as a monitor which was it's intended purpose. Blue Ray movies look very good. Considering the low price I paid it works far better than I expected. Sound is decent. It may not be top of the line but it's a good little tele.

Picture quality is as expected for 720p, Bright %26 clear, lag is noticable on occasion, depending on what app you're using, color adjustment helps quite a bit and a sound is loud and clear but sound bar could help for better movie experiences. It does freeze up, rarely, but quickly recovers. I would recommend it, for the price point👍

Just a TV

Joe August 25, 2025

Just a TV. It’s 2025 and the software in the smart TVs seems terrible. Slow and laggy. The remote seems to have to wake up before the TV recognizes it. And please change the remote. The volume and mute buttons are in a horrible location. I’ll just assume these remotes are made for right handed folks. Either way…terrible placement. TVs should not be expensive which this one was not, but I may stop buying any TV under $200 because they ALL seem like junk. Lots of bells and whistles and options, but the functionality is awful.

Great TV! Horrible communication with remote!

Margaret July 30, 2025

Remote and TV seem to have problems communicating! Otherwise love the TV. In guest room for two sets of guests who came, but they either didn’t want to complain or didn’t watch it. We’ve been remodeling our bedroom since I returned from Mayo surgery 7/8 and been sick in that bed. So I’ve learned about problem 1st hand. Was looking up when purchased so I could exchange remote or TV remote with new Walmart order we’re currently working on. Found request for review. Completing it, then will figure out how to get this problem resolved. Again, LOVE TV, but remote %26 TV not talking nice!

The TV quit working after 3 weeks. Even though I bought the warranty, Phillips has not been cooperative in handling the issue. I do not recommend this TV or brand.
