Saw it in the store amongst other TVs. Instantly noticed the picture quality was crystal clear and visible from any angle, was not dimmed like other displays if I stood away at the angle. When at home, I was surprised how easy it was to connect. Love the fact I can install pretty much any app from Google play store. Glad I got this, even though I originally planned on getting a different TV. Happy I did not and picked this instead.
I clicked to install the latest security update and after half hour or so the TV still hadn't restarted so I went to restart it with the remote, nothing happened. I searched online and apparently other people have been having the same issue and they recommend unplugging it for a while so I did that several times for several minutes to half an hour at a time, plugged it back in. Without even clicking the power button, I can see the blue LCD light at the bottom frame of the TV comes on but nothing on the screen. I called Phillips and they were no help at all, basically said that I "bricked" the TV by interrupting the update so they're not responsible.
Just buy a different T.V. Bought this thing in September. It's January now. Last night it turned off and will not turn back on. Tried a different plug, nothing. Unplugged it for an hour, nothing. So I basically bought a t.v. that lasted all of 4-5 months. I will steer very clear of anything Phillips from now on. EXTREMELY dissatisfied.
Bought this March 2022. January 2023 will not turn on and Philips will not honor the warranty. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE. They have awful customer service and less than a year later I have a giant pain in the rear that won't work in my living room. Upset is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Just go with a trusted name brand that has excellent customer service like Sony or Samsung. These TVs do not pass the same amount of quality control that the more prominent manufacturers put their products up against. This is a lemon of a tv and I regret ever purchasing it. The remote also sucks and is very clunky with chunky clicky buttons.
This TV is absolutely awful. I bought two at once and both have a very high pitch faint ring while off and it took me forever to figure it out because when you unplug it, it continues to do it for several seconds after being powerless. One of them just a few months in started turning itself off randomly and then back on. Very frustrating when watching live sports. The sound quality is also one of the absolute worst ive ever heard, sounds like a tiny speaker in a cardboard box. Maybe worth $50
This TV broke 2 months after I got it. I tried to return it to Walmart but it's no longer eligible for return. I contacted customer service and was left on perpetual hold. I would not recommend this TV or purchasing any electronics from Walmart
This TV without question, was already damaged at the time it was but into the box. Quality control is lacking. When we un boxed the TV, we found a damaged screen. The packaging was perfect. The screen was protected very well for shipping.
Accidentally came across a way to run a local channel scan. Now, a few days later I just can not find a way to to run it. Other tvs are easy. Not this one.
Because the item didn't have what was advertised/featured in the description. Walmart need to keep everything updated, because it is upsetting when you buy something and you don't get what you paid for. I KNOW EVERY ONE OF YOU HAS EXPERIENCED THAT BEFORE AND YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS.
we have 2 other phillips tvs and like them, which is why we stuck with them for our third. this one came with an updated remote and a new "feature" where if you turn it off it isnt actually turning off it goes into stand by and to turn it back on you hold the power button down for 5-10 seconds. i was told about this "feature" when i contacted customer service because our tv constatnly refuses to turn on. this was their explanation. holding the power button down didnt work for me, neither did the power button on the tv. i have to unplug and plug back in. this happens a few times a month. he said i may have to hard reset the tv which is annoying. im pretty sure there is just something wrong with this tv. but even if there isnt this is a really dumb feature to put on a tv. i hate it
