I bought this to plug in a few of crock pots. I've had others that couldnt handle more than 2 without turning off. This one kept working with 4 plugged in. I also like that the cord is flexible, which made it easier to keep it out of the way, while still being close enough for everything to stay plugged in.
With this 8 outlet Surge Protector now have room to all my USB chargers and power adapters. It gives me the protection I want and need and the spacing of the outlets was well thought out.
Excellent device. Outlets are arranged so that I'm able to plug my Nintendo Docking station without blocking others; TV, printer, weather station, microwave, ionizer, and floor lamp, leaving me a spare. I've always trusted Phillips products, so I feel my devices are protected. I read a one-star comment stating the prongs are covered. Yes, they are. The prong protector slides off.
Phillips has always been a reliable product as well as long lasting. It was natural to replace an old Phillips gang plug with a new one.
Bought this for my basic electrics before stormy season. Had lightning strike the power lines and everything held its own well. Would recommend. Lightning blew some breakers, but these held their own and didn't have that problem.
Needed a high-capacity surge protector with cord a little longer than 6-ft one I have.
well-built, wrks well as described
But bad just wish these would fit plugs next to one another easier.
Order had been cancelled that may be out of stock.
The surge protector prongs were covered in the hard plastic that is covering the entire plug. There was no way to remove it.
