Easy to use, quality product
I would order again with drying feature. it does work well bottles clean
We were sceptical about this at first , but we have been using it so much! Multiple times per day and night. So much easier than boiling or other methods for sterilizing. We have started throwing in everything we need sterilised now - sponges, bottle brushes...
I make sure that all items that bottles, pacifiers, and other baby products get sterilized after every few times of use.I'm not too worried about sterlizing each and every time. But I'd like to make sure that after a few times, they get a good germ-killing in case of contamination or if my wife or I didn't wash it properly by hand (lack of sleep will cause all sorts of things to happen).Easy to use.For my microwave, I just put in two bottle cap fulls of water into it and let it nuke for two minutes. No fuss.
We don't use a sterilizer very often, but when we do, this one is quite easy to use.For travel it's easier to use the bags (somewhat disposable items), but this works good at home.Added benefit of keeping things sterile 24 hours if you don't open it up.You can also use it as storage to attempt to declutter your counters of all the bottle related items.
We started out using the dispose-after-20-use bags, but they're a bit more of a hassle than this steam sterilizer. The bags were trickier to drain the boiling-hot water out of, and they break down over time. This sterilizer is in like-new condition after a couple of weeks of regular use, and it's easy to fill up, use, drain, and store. We have AVENT brand bottles as well, but it'd work just fine with most brands.Just fits in the microwave (beware if you have a non-standard-size model microwave) and all in all, works great.
I have purchased this separately after my last one melted in the microwave oven. The last one was put in the microwave oven after a round of bottle and pump washing by my helper. I believed it's because of her misusing it as prior to her arrival, I have been using it every 3 hourly every day for 1 month. Anyway I have purchased this to replace it. Basically I am still using the old bottom part and replace the melted top cover with a new one to this date (4 months and counting) and the container is still intact. The only bad thing about the sterilizer is that the supposedly slot for teat and teat cover is too small (I'm using Avent Natural bottles). I still like to use this over the microwave bag type and the electric sterilizer type.
The picture on the website is sterilizer with blower. I think it was so misleading seeing that when it was delivered it has no blower
Was not a fan of this sterilizer at all. As a matter of fact, we used it one time...to sterilize our bottles immediately after purchasing them. It probably would've been easier to throw them into a pot of boiling water and time it, to be perfectly honest.
This may only take 2 minutes to sterilize the bottles but I can't stand how we the items remain.I wash in extremely hot water and rinse in extremely hot water, then use the dishwasher. To me this is a waste of money, I am so angry at myself for throwing the box away, or I would return it.
