Philips Blu-Ray and DVD Player - BDP1502/F7

I don't know why Blu-ray players are so much more expensive than basic DVD players. This one, being inexpensive relatively, seems to work just fine. Easy to use and connect to a universal remote. Has good picture quality. I'm satisfied with it.

Great value for the money and very easy to hook up as easy as one two three. Nice clear picture Too! Sounds great nice replacement for my old Dvd player. I have new blu-ray movies but still old excellent DVD movies I wanted to play and it makes them look and sound much better! Thanks I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I know it will last a long time .I 've had an old Philips product about 10 years before it was good quality still good just wanted an upgrade.

Great Blu-Ray player, plays like my original that I bought the first time these things come out. The thing that makes me more excited about me this one is that it loads 10Xs faster. This machine has been played since April 13th at least a dozen times and hasn't slacked off. It does spin a little hard to start, but that is any machine from the LG to this fantastic Philips. This unit is small in its remote and in the unit its self there is no internet or update required which makes this unit perfect for anyone that wants a basic unit. It it easy to use and all you do is put the disc in and it does the rest. I love this machine and I'm sure you would as well. Oh also 4:3 movies seem to fit the screen better and that makes it easier to watch movies like "VOLCANO" on DVD that are normally small. This is the player for you if you want one that actually works.

It's what we needed - basic blu-ray dvd player w/no fluff- PERFECT!!! Only have used it twice but so far, so good. FedEx placed package at mailbox in ditch even though we were home-weird- this may make us second guess next purchase but we heard truck so box didn't sit in ditch too long and it is the holiday season. Saying no to contact because we get enough calls as is but email is fine.

Had to return, after approx 4 plays unit would not power up discovered I had to unplug wait a few seconds then plug back in power would turn on and I could play. This happened repeatedly so I returned. Online customer service was terrific, as they assisted through the return process

It barely worked 6 months. We dont watch a lot of movies. the last Bluray player lasted over 10 years. This we bought at the end of Nov 24 and it wont turn on July 25. Junk

Warning ⚠️ Don't buy this if want want to watch Blu-ray or DVDs. The first one worked about a month then it started saying disc not supported or no disc inserted. We were abke to exchange it and now less than 2 weeks later, the new one is doing the same thing. I have never been so disappointed in a purchase ever.

This is one the worst player i have ever purchased. since i purchase it 3 months of ago, it has frozen up more times than I can count, today alone i have had to unplug at least 8 times before it would play disk that i started watching early today. And of course Walmart want take it back. I could have burned the 60 dollars that i paid for it and had least aggravations. I will never buy anything fro Phillips again

This DVD Player will not play certain DVDs that have a digital code buried in them depending on where the DVD was made or the regional market it was intended for, like Europe or Asia, for example. This happened to me on both newer and older movies. I didn't discover this until after the return window expired so "Buyer Beware!".

Got this home, opened it up, back of remote was missing, there were no cords to hook it up to the tv, and the door that opens to put the blu-ray in is broken. Oh, and also, not even the brand on the box. Now I can’t return it. So I guess I’m just screwed. I’m a loyal Walmart member no more.
