[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the razor to be comfortable to use and gave a smooth, close shave. I appreciated the fact the trimmer was part of the shaver instead of being a separate part. I've now used it on two extended holidays, and found the battery life to be excellent. Recharging, when required, is effortless Cleaning is a bit different than past Phillips shavers (it now uses power from the shaver) is easy and effective.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Currently, I am 76 years old and have not grown a beard since 1980 when I was a single man at that time. I've never owned anything like a beard trimmer in my life and had always trimmed the beards I grew 'manually' with a pair of beard trimmer scissors I purchased especially for the task,. But this Norelco 9000 'kit' is a particular "reward" for this "new" totally white beard I'd started about four months ago. But most notably for me, this trimmer makes a great impression on me as to how easy it makes the effort to keep my beard looking 'neat'. And what once took me quite a while "..way back then", and which also needed to be maintained VERY routinely (like daily), is now a 'once a week' effort that I can complete in a matter of minutes. I believe this may also be the very first time I believe I've gotten compliments on my "...nicely trimmed beard", not only from my wife of 37 years, but family members, good friends and even a small number of total strangers, like a couple of clerks at places I shop. Yeah... really... TOTAL surprise, there. An unexpected "reward", that... Guess I'll keep it then...both the beard AND this trimmer
I have been looking for an easy-to-use electric shaver that provides the perfect stubble/5 o'clock shadow look for a few years. After buying and returning several shavers (some expensive and some cheap), I finally took a chance on this Philips/Norelco. It's perfect!. There are two stubble attachments and both are great. Many other shavers out there are either too long (i,e, beard length) or too short (i.e. close shave). It came with are many other attachments, too, for body hair, side burns, eye brows, beards, et al. I have yet to try them but I'm sure they work just as well. Clean up is a breeze as you simply run it under running water battery charging is fast and lasts for several shaves. Happy customer!
The product has 5 Year guarantee. And when i go for extended guarantee. It says only 2 Year. Please Fix this issue in your portal. And do not put the slip in the Kit which says "For extended warranty register online" . 2 Years Extended Guarantee is covered in initial 5 year guarantee from the date of purchase. So it is useless.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using it roughly every week with satisfactory results. So far so good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works nicely, feels comfortable in the hand, does a really nice job keeping my beard close, where I like it.
The trimmer feels sturdy in the hand and the battery lasts a long time on a single charge. However, I'm giving it 3 stars because switching between the 13 different attachments is a bit clunky and tedious. Additionally, cleaning out the small hairs trapped inside the trimmer head takes more effort than it should. It gets the job done eventually, but the overall user experience is just average. Recommended for patient users who just want one tool for everything
All good but when buying a trimmer for this price and not providing a sturdy cover is a crime.how do uthink one small pouch given gonna satisfy all needs.add300more or whatever and gives us a pouch or bag to hold it.
This product works OK but in my opinion falls far short of its potential due to 1) a misplaced power button which it seems must be continually turned off while maneuvering the trimmer in use (this frustrates me to no end) and 2) a far too limited selection of hair-cutting attachments. I can live without many of the body grooming attachments but I am missing a broader range of attachments for use in providing a proper haircut.
So, this is supposed to be the top of the Phillips line... Meh Don't get me wrong- it cuts great! I love that it is fully waterproof. I love the stainless finish. I love how long the battery lasts. Here is what I don't love: -All of the head attachments are small- meaning a full grown man with big hands will likely drop the attachments often. I've had older products with larger attachments, and I never fumbled trying to put them on or take them off. -Why are there so many attachments?! It's a good thing this came with a nice case to hold them. you could easily combine some of these heads, in fact you have, in other models, and they worked fine. Instead I have to rummage through 20 small attachments to find what I need, dropping them in the process. -There isn't a charging stand? (as in, I can't believe there isn't a charging stand.) In fact, you can't even charge it standing up! The one blade has an awesome stand that charges, and shuts off when the battery is full. It's likely all the same internal components- Why could this feature be included in the top of your line? -Speaking of the one blade- it tells you when the battery is charged with a digital display. This feature seems obvious. -It doesn't come with a comb? I bought this to replace a phillips multigroom kit I bought over ten years ago, which wasn't your top model. Aside from not being waterproof, it outperformed in almost every other way! And I couldn't find a single current model that compared to it... I thought we should be moving forward in design and utility? not backwards. But hey- I looked all over for a good product, and this is the absolute best I could find, despite all the flaws.
