Let me start by saying that before using the DiamondClean Smart I was not the best when it came to my oral care. I would always brush in the morning, but many times before bed I would be too tired, or forget. I knew I needed to make a change, and it turned out that this was exactly what I needed. From the moment the package arrived I was impressed. It came with everything you would need right in the box, and didn't require me to order anything extra to get started. Starting with how the product charges. I love the charging cup! It is very simple, and always makes sure that the tooth brush is charged without having to remember to plug it in. Plus unless you were really looking hard, you wouldn't even notice it is a charger. I also had the opportunity to travel with it, and the travel case is just as convenient. It has a place for everything you would need with you, and also makes charging a breeze. Moving on to everyday use. I can honestly say my mouth has never felt this clean after brushing (except after leaving the dentist). The brush has multiple cleaning modes, and each one focuses on a different goal. Depending on what you are looking for (deep clean, whitening, ect..) you pick your setting and the brush does the rest! Even if you don't want to choose a setting if you pick the brush head that corresponds to your needs, it will automatically pick the setting for you which is nice. The coolest feature is definitely the App. Setting it up is a breeze, and once you do it changes the game when it comes to brushing. The brush is set up to sync with the App while your brushing, and it monitors your brushing movements and shows you in real time what areas you need to focus on. It will also warn you if you are brushing to hard or fast, and will let you know when to move on the next part of your mouth. My favorite part is once your done it gives you chance to go back, and get all the areas you missed, and all this is very clearly shown through the app on a 3D model of your teeth. I actually look forward to when its time to brush now, its almost like a challenge to try to not miss any areas on my first attempt. Some other really nice features are that each mode has a preset timer, and even if you are not using the app it will still let you know when to move from each area in your mouth. Another feature I love is that is comes with a tongue scrubber, and once you attach that head it automatically knows and does a special 20 second mode to clean your tongue. I have noticed it has really helped with making my breath fresher. Overall this product exceeded my expectations, coming from someone who needed to get more serious about oral care, this has really made brushing fun. Having said that there are a few things I think could be improved. While the app is really useful I think that there are a few things that could be improved to make the user interface a little easier. It could also be really cool if for future models the brush could save any brushes that were done without the app, and download them at a later time. One last thing for some people might be the price. I received this as a free sample, but I could see how someone might think it is on the expensive side, but I would think more about it as an investment in your health. After using this for a week I can already see less plaque, my mouth feels better, my breath has been fresher longer, and most importantly I am not finding excuses not to brush, but actually I look forward to brushing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to get more serious about oral care, or anyone who is already serious and looking for the future of oral care.

I received my Philips DiamondClean Smart electric toothbrush and was blown away by all of the available features it had. My teeth have never felt cleaner after using this toothbrush. I received a free sample of this toothbrush to review and I am so happy that I did! It comes with three different brush heads, one for deep cleaning, one for gum care and another for whitening, also as an added bonus you get a tongue cleaning application (see picture). The toothbrush itself is Bluetooth enabled so you can download an app that will keep track of your brushing letting you know what areas you need to improve on and let you know when your brush head needs replaced. What I didn't quite like about the app was that in terms of brushing accuracy it doesn't seem to capture what you are actually doing in terms of where and how you are brushing (see picture). The app will highlight for example the top right side of your teeth and you are to only brush in this area while it is highlighted and you have to move the brush very slowly. If I brush on my left side or on the lower teeth it doesn't replicate my movement on the app, it will remain only at the section it has highlighted. For me the app could use a bit of improvement as it didn't capture real time brushing and it made you brush in an awkward movement that didn't feel normal. The toothbrush has a clear end on it that will light up if you are pushing to hard on your teeth as you brush, I found this be helpful. The brush will also turn off automatically after 2 minutes of brushing. If you want to continue brushing you just simply hit the start button again. There are several modes of cleaning once you power up. There is clean, whitening, deep clean, gums and tongue. I liked having all of these options and the different brush heads to go with them. The toothbrush comes fully charged for your first use, after the first use it is recommended to charge for a full 24 hours. There are two ways you can charge your toothbrush. The first is with the wall charging unit which you plug in and comes with a clear glass that you simply set the toothbrush in (see picture). The other option is using the nice case that comes with it that has a USB cable on the bottom side of it so if you are traveling it's as simple as plugging in to USB enabled device (see picture). Overall I thought this toothbrush was an excellent product because of the different brush heads, multiple brushing mode options, charging options and overall esthetic of the brush itself and fresh clean feel I have ever had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, I'm guilty of buying non-brand replacement brushes. I got a birthday discount and treated myself to these brush heads and the real thing really is better. They seem sturdier and the bristles are of a higher quality. I feel that the clean with the Phillips brush heads is better than with the off market brands.

The smaller size of the handle is easier to hold. There are six reminder beeps to move to different sections of your mouth and increased number of brush pulses to clean teeth and gums better. I love the available choices for clean, white and deep clean.

Tooth brush cleans very well and it is easy to use. The app is slow it got stuck several times (I end up not using the app when I am in a rush. It slows me down). The brush is easy to use (two buttons). I had a little of tooth paste getting on the power button and it is sticky. I am cautious cleaning it because I heard bad reviews of handles damaged by water intrusion. The cable on the glass charger should be removable. I don't keep it plugged in the whole time (the cable looks messy). I have four brushes and I don't have a very convenient place to store them. Philips could look into a solution for this (easy access, clean, easy transport).

This is Sonicare's newest brush head and it's quite good. It feels very effective in your mouth, like it's really doing something. Probably creates more active action than all the others I've tried. There is one problem however, the bristle layout isn't really that good for cleaning the inside surfaces of your front teeth. Not enough bristle strength and density at the very tip of the brush head. I much prefer the Diamond Clean head for the inside surfaces of my front teeth. Actually, this AdaptiveClean and the DiamondClean are my two favorite brush heads. I usually alternate daily between them. When I have the time, I use both, alternating between the two.

While these appear durable they indeed are not. The first one I've been using for 2-3 weeks has already uncoupled from it's base, and appears to be attached only by a pressure fit and no other permanent secure type of attachment. I applied a couple of small dots of superglue to the area that appears to be the point of contact/attachment that's supposed to hold these to their base and reassembled it. We'll see if it holds up for at least as long as the bristles last. I purchased this multi-pack, so I'll assume I'll need to do this to every one in the pack... unfortunately. The bristle heads look a bit sketchy regarding how they are attached, but so far they seem OK.

These toothbrush heads would be great if they would stay together. The inside “guts” of the toothbrush separates from the brush. In a short time even though they snap back together they keep coming apart every time you use it until it basically is useless because it won't stay together any longer thus shortening the life of these black premium brush heads you pay a good amount for!

Received milletia coffee filters instead of the sonic care brush head's indicated as delivered. The shipping box was crushed, as well as the filter box, yet the shipping box and delivery notification was for the brush heads.
