Pioneer DMH-160BT Car Play/Android Auto Digital Media Receiver with 6.8" Touchscreen and Bluetooth,Double Din, Backup Camera Ready

This is my second 160bt and I love them both. Carplay is fantastic, I have owned dozens of head units and this is typical Pioneer, great quality and sound.

I've read a couple of reviews pertaining to the dreaded white screen of death. Most car manufacturers use 2ohm speakers. Aftermarket car stereos require 4ohm speakers to prevent overheating which causes damage and the dreaded white screen. This is a great replacement radio.

Awesome receiver. This is the same as the Pioneer DMH-1770NEX but $100 less. Only difference is it does not inclulde the remote control (which isn't really needed). Android Auto works great. Very good sound quality. You can even upload a custom background screen. Connected steering wheel controls and backup camera. No regrets whatsoever.

Overall, I would rate the unit at 98% It would be at 100% if you could mute the unit from the screen not just from the remote. and also had been sat. radio inabilied

Got it in march everything worked great until November then it would randomly shut off and give a white screen but then come back on. Until December and it just got a white screen with nothing working. Pulled it out to see if the connection were bad but it was all solid so I believe it is something to do with the ribbon cables. I just want it fixed or replaced. GET THE WARRANTY!!!

a customer returned this item to Walmart, inserting a broken car stereo that was not a pioneer and keeping the wiring as well. Why Walmart did not catch this theft was unbelievable. When I returned this to my local store, they tried to insist I drive 30 minutes away to the store that had shipped the item. I bought this online, so was told to return to my store. The confusion about the return was unbelievable.

Options arent too bad but doesnt work well with modern tech. i cannot charge my phone and use android auto at the same time.

I installed this receiver less than a week ago and already failed. First thing I noticed is how hot this receiver gets, and it began shutting off at mid volume level. Checked all connections, speakers and everything seems in order. Once installed it worked briefly then yesterday rebooted and now only getting the Pioneer logo when I turn it on. I should've read all the reviews before purchasing but Pioneer was a trustworthy brand in the past, and believed I was getting a good/reliable unit.

Do not buy this head unit it seems like im just another out of hundreds of customers that is dealing with the white screen of death, very upsetting I thought purchasing a high dollar name brand head unit i wouldnt have these issues however i was mistaken
