Overall, this is a solid product, but I'd suggest considering a small improvement. It might be worth including some rubber pads to strengthen the grip or better account for the percentage of vehicles it doesn't quite fit. I drive a Chrysler Pacifica, and unfortunately my roof rack fell into that small percentage. We were able to make it work by adding some padding between the product and the rack, but having that built-in would make installation smoother. Just a thought for future versions!

Awesome rack set for the price

Decent quality for the price point. I mounted them on universal cross bars purchased from HF. This allows me to leave the j-bars mounted to the cross bars and remove them as one unit. I also use better quality ratchet straps over the cheep ones that came with the j-bars. Overall pleased with the functionality and quality of this product, and you can't beat the price especially with free shipping.

Good quality product. Had to return due to not working with my cross bars. Also, we decided the folding racks would be a better fit for us. These do not fold. They were very well made.

Came as expected

They seem sturdy and well-made. You do have to assemble them yourselves, so get ready to tighten a lot of bolts. All you get is a picture as assembly directions, so if you're not handy, you might want to get one that's already assembled or find someone who is handy. I haven't tried it out with the kayaks yet, so I don't know how well it holds them down. Also, no instructions on how to attach the straps around the kayak (or to the holders). But the price was good, so you probably can find a you-tube video on attaching a kayak to this type of holder. Also, if you don't have a roof rack on your car with bars installed, this type of rack would be useless.

Easy to install. The straps are too short. They are about 7 to 8 ft. Would be better 10 to 12 ft.

The instructions for using were nearly non existent. The straps were too short to use to strap on our kayaks. The information stated that if you drive over 45 mph the warranty is void. How often would you be driving to a lake and not go over 45 mph?

Had to return this item- arrived and J bars were surprisingly small, pretty sure it wouldn't have held my kayaks as they barely fit around the base, On top of that parts were not correct - each bar was to have 4 drilled holes, three of them did, but one only had three holes.
