havent tied one on yet but i would bet automatic catch when i do....when your up at the area when you need them, they arent avail or overpriced, this kit has all sizes and colors.

After tossing 5 different power baits, red worms, meal worms on my spinning rod and catching only one fish, I decided to fly fish. Switching spots, i found a place where no one was (RARE where I live) and having put on one or two conventional flies, I decided to try one of these Pistol Pete babies on. Let me tell you what, in a matter of 45 minutes, I had my limit and then fished for fun after that. I had missed about five, having hooked them and only by my fault for not enough tension when i had them on, did i loose them. After realizing and correcting my error, i watched trout after trout on every cast, make a run at these things and hit them. I was amazed, and will buy them again!

My partner had one pistol pete in her tackle box and decided to use it one day on the lake. and it was a instant hit nice big trout but a storm chased us out. we went to another lake later and used it again, another instant hit for trout and the ranger just dumped 1400 stock trout and bout a hour later they were killing this lure. caught about 5-10 a hour(stockers of course). we even taught a kid and her grandpa how to use these and they were slammingit to, well the grandpa must have been usiing some other color cause he kept catching baby pike. this is hamds down a amazing fly lure/
