Pit Boss 1500 Connected Pellet Grill - Onyx Edition with Wi-Fi

I love this pellet grill, it was a little tricky putting it together but ended up coming out sturdy. It's sleek look, large cooking capacity, wi fi compatibility, and easy to use pid controller are game changers for me. This is the fifth different brand of pellet grill I have owned and it's hands down the best one. Cooks great ribs, chicken, brisket, and pulled pork.

This smoker is massive and plan to do a whole pig on it soon for the Super Bowl! Already smoked numerous butts and a small brisket and the probes were accurate and the WiFi makes it easier to stay inside during the cold winter months.

It hole temp well and the smoke is amazing.

Instructions for assembly could be a little more detailed. Other than that, great grill!!

this grill is spectacular

This is my 3 rd Pitboss, just did an 18 hr cook over night and was the best brisket I have ever cooked, I'm 63 years old and I'm just not up to running a stick burner anymore, I would have given the savanna 1500 a five star review but the handle on the slide plate is so close to the pellet bin you can't get your fingers around it, a simple bend in it would fix it. Sad engineering !

assembly is challenging for 1 person but is doable

I purchased the Pit Boss Savannah pellet smoker and have mixed feelings. On the positive side, it does an excellent job smoking meats. Temperature control during cooks has been solid, and the food quality has been great. My biggest disappointment is the WiFi and Bluetooth functionality. I specifically paid extra for these features, but they have never worked properly from day one. The app connectivity has been plagued with bugs, and I have yet to achieve reliable connection or remote monitoring. I also had an issue with the included temperature probes. After a single use, they stopped registering correctly, which was frustrating. Assembly was another challenge. I've assembled other Pit Boss products in the past, but the Savannah was significantly more difficult, especially for one person. For the price I paid, I expected a much better experience with the technology and accessories. As a smoker, it performs well. As a premium connected smoker, it has fallen short of expectations.

No holes lined up broken and missing pieces

Wouldn’t know, it’s been almost a month and you say it is here but it’s not and nobody will return calls. Spoke to PitBoss they say it’s not their problem. Speak to FedEx, they say the same. So Walmart, where is our money or smoker? Because that’s theft.
