definitely worth it
this product would not only work for a flat top grill. it also works to get the burnt stuck on sticky mess off of a griddle that you would use indoors as well

Scraper
Great scraper, it's a nice size scraper, my wife even uses it as a spatula sometimes.

Stainless is better
I bought this yesterday. I tried scraping my griddle today. Got it hot, squirted som water on it and started a good scrape before bacon. The business end of the scraper melted and left black plastic rows on the griddle that only came off with my stainless spatula. Next time I will go stainless.

Terrible product
We bought this to clean the grill and were incredibly disappointed. Even with a quick scrape, it began to melt. It does not stand up to heat as advertised
