You have no idea how cool this idea is and if you haven't had a chance to test out the game you are missing out. I had a hiccup when I tested the game but the Pixicade team was fast and efficient in getting me a fix. After that I was able to continue testing and prepping for when the kids played. We were able to make a few games and although not all of them worked we were able to edit the games easily and make them playable. My nephew, who is 12, made a game that was playable pretty quickly. My niece was still working on hers and perfecting it. It's a great game to allow kids to be creative and exore game designing and be artistic.
I was sent this by Tryazon. This is so much fun. My son loved it. Easy to set up and use. The instructions were great. Different games to make and try. Vivid colors. It's a great self paced activity. Fun for the whole family. Easy for young children with help or older ones by them self.
We got to try this as party of a tryazon party. My kids and family loved this kit. They loved playing games like this and drawing so it was the best of both worlds.
This is by far the coolest game out their. It brings your drawing to life. You get to play a game with said drawing. It's easy to set up and my kids had a blast. Thanks Pixicade for the coolest game ever.
Fun activities and fun creative way to have fun with your kid. Creating anything you want and it comes to life. Just as pictured and advertised.
My kids were soo excited to try Pixicade! They really enjoy their time with the product but it definitely needs some… help so to say. It's not as simple as “draw snap play”. It's more like draw, snap, edit, play, edit, play, edit, play, until you get it right. The game typically sees the wrong color and you need to adjust this in the app. I mean don't get me wrong it's great that you can edit in game so you don't have to use 5000 sheets of paper and waste your game count (oh yeah you can only make so many games and then you have to buy more.) But honestly my kids DID have fun playing with it so I would just like to see some improvements in the app at detecting what is what. Other then that happy and look forward to creating new things!
I really enjoyed this game. Everyone really enjoyed it. So glad it sparks creativity in any mind. It's boatloads of fun and you can keep going with it. There are endless possibilities!
I got this game because it was recommended as a great STEM toy. Indeed, video games can form an addiction, but practice being creative can give kids an inventive streak, so I loved that this channeled a child's typical love of gaming into something that could actually improve a child's technical skills. The problem is, some of the difficulties that truly come with coding for video games also come with this toy. The child has to have a high tolerance for frustration and a willingness to learn from his mistakes in order to truly create a working video game. Many kids will lose interest in favor of an easier toy. Those who patiently persist, however, will find it to be a learning opportunity, so at least that's a plus.
I ordered this and received the pets version instead and now all the regular are sold out and won't arrive before Christmas.
I purchased the original and I was shipped the “pet” one. Very disappointed with Walmart
