Plano 6-Tray Hip Roof Large Tackle Storage Box, Green/Sand

I've been wanting another one of the Plano hip roof side by side 6 drawer tackle box.. my late father always had one perfectly packed and stocked up. just this one box was able to hold enough of tackle and more for a family of 5.. this was hard to find as every search showed the newer backpack style soft case or completely different styles until yesterday and purchased it immediately.. even more impressive was the cost, selling for the price of what i paid in 1997' at $40. with next day delivery too. it's huge but manageable.. heavy duty palstic molded bottom. 6 trays of different sizes plus the rather large bottom. looks great dark green bottom with the tan roofs. latches are brass and sturdy. not too wide as to bump your legs when carrying and light weight (until I fill it) has 2 cup holders molded into the top..

So this is just what I expected from Plano. Contrary to the not so good reviews, this tackle box is quite durable and very roomy. I got this from my son along with over 30 lures and it's perfect for that. I ordered the 30 lure pack by Lot Fancy also on the Walmart website and it is a great deal for $23. Good quality as well and a variety of lures. Getting a second tackle box just like this one for hooks and weights and other items to keep tackle compartmentalized.

I bought a tackle box just like this in 1998 and was always kept in the boat outside in the sun and rain and it's still a good box nothing at all wrong with it except fading so I'd say that is good quality

I have more tackle box's than I should but I wanted 1- one for just Cat fishing, lots of flexible storage space yet not so big that I can't carry it along with 3- rods, landing net stringers, and everything else and that's what this tackle box gives.

This tackle box has lots of room! The compartments are well organized %26 spacious. Plenty of the compartments are able to be divided for smaller items. The center opening feature helps ensure the box is balanced %26 stable when you open it. The locking clasps on each end ensure it won't open accidentally when you carry it. This is a particularly well suited tackle box for saltwater fishing! It easily accommodates the larger lures, hooks %26 rigs. If you pack carefully, you can even fit a spare reel or two.

Plenty of room for all your fishing gear also very sturdy, On first trip fell down a little hill the box was fine and everything still in place. If you like to carry plenty of fishing gear with you, this tackle box is the one for you.

Plano has chosen to reduce quality to keep prices somewhat affordable. I still use a Plano tackle box from the 1980's which was made to last and does. these are made out of lightweight thin easily broken plastic . Plano go back to quality .

I love the tackle box but it did not have the extra divider slats in it. Main reason I bought it was for all of my hard tackle lures and because the trays offered alot of slots for lures. Now Im losing valuable lure alots because of the missing dividers.

I have Plano tackle boxes that are over 33 years old and are still in very good working condition, whereas I don't expect this one to last very long, received with one hinge tab broken, these are now just cheap plastic instead of rivets like my old ones have, missing the dividers so can't even organize this how I would like, for as expensive as these things are I would have expected much better quality from Plano, the cup holders built into the top are way too shallow to hold anything other than maybe a small cup, overall it's good enough and at least has open compartments instead of those plastic trays that slide into a compartment, too much of a hassle to return just to get the dividers along with will just fix the hinge myself making this not as good of a deal thought I was getting

I'm going return it. partly because it turns out it's way to big for what I need it for, but also I'm very disappointed in the build quality, especially the trays that ope up.
