I've had these before, but these are different. Overall, they are pretty good. It would be nice to be able to pull the strap down before hanging.

They work great once you figure out which way is up and how they are supposed to be used. There were absolutely NO instructions. I had to dilly-dally around for the first 10 minutes or so until I figured it out. They've been up for a few weeks now and no issues. I'm deducting a star for the lack of even basic information.

Product is useless. It cannot hold anything over two pounds without it completely sliding completely open. I wanted this for a small bird feeder so we could lower the feeder for refilling, but it won't retract and stay up.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Product is crap. Comes 4 in a package-only ONE works at all. Can ALMOST make two other kinda work some of the time, The device itself looks like it would hold an elephant to the wall. So, not real decorative. That might be forgivable if it worked. The caribiners on them look nearly strong enough to contain a chowowow- well, maybe if it doesn't get too excited. The ratchets do not work at all. I cannot even blame it on the weight. They don't work with nothing on them. The description gave no weight limits. LOVE the concept-hate the product. will look for them somewhere else. Bought these to hang lightweight Lanterns that need turned on and off. A half pound Command hook is strong enough to hold them. I thought I'd be ordering more for plants. Like other reviews say, they would make the plant too low to do any good or be attractive and I can well imagine them unwinding and tossing the plant. These are just a NO! .

They indicate that they are adjustable but am not able to adjust.
