This limited edition Planters trail mix is really good. The mix has a great balance of flavors and textures, and everything tastes fresh. It's perfect for snacking at home or on the go. I honestly wish it wasn't limited because it's one of the better trail mixes I've had.
I love this item that I bought. it's so good I can't stop eating it. today is New Year's Day and I saw on the Walmart app site that they're $3.48 now. maybe because they will put out as a Christmas promotional item and Christmas is over now. the mix is only lacking enough pecans. what you having abundance of all the other nuts.
Look forward to this every year but I went to two Walmart stores to buy and neither store had it. I wanted it then. Thankfully I could order online at Walmart and was still able to get! It is one of my few splurges every year.
Delicious. A very good mix of salty and sweet with nuts, yogurt, and candy. A great trail mix using fresh Planters nuts.Comes in large holiday can. The price now is good, too.
I don't think I've ever seen smaller peanuts or raisins. I expected there would be more peanuts and raisins, but this mix had so much more than expected. Plenty of almonds and candy pieces (like M%26M) and some cashews and tiny pieces of cranberries. I live alone, so I know no one else ate any of the mix. Sadly, there were a few pieces of walnut and only 5 chocolate covered peanuts in the entire can.
The best part of this mix was the dried cranberries, the chocolate candies, and chocolate covered peanuts. The other nuts in the mix taste bland, like they are unsalted. Even mixed together, you can still taste the blandness. Good if you like that. I'd rather just have the cranberries, the candies, and chocolate peanuts, and forget everything else.
If you like peanuts and raisins, then this product is 95% those items. If like me, you were interested in the “chocolate covered candied pieces“ and the “chocolate covered peanuts“ and the almonds, cashews, cranberries, then you're gonna be sorely disappointed.
The contents did not look at all like the picture on the can. The taste was mediocre and a lot of the nuts were broken. I'm glad I didn't pay full price.
Don't bother buying these unless you really just want a can of raisins in and a few peanuts… because you can't find the nuts for all the raisins in the can! Not worth the money and they should be sued for false advertising for calling it holiday NUT Crunch!
I expected so much from this Planters mix. But… under toasted and salted nuts and no special holiday flavor (unless you are counting dried cranberries…?) I ended up separating out all the chocolate and fruit, adding more cashews the. Tossing with melted butter and a bit of salt and toasting in the oven for at least 16 minutes at 350°. I then separated the toasted mixture and made some chipotle-chili-lime, some cinnamon sugar and left some as butter %26 pink-Himalayan-salted. I will mix fruit and chocolate into the non-chili varieties.
