The controller is great. Walmart shipped it beautifully BUT people are scalping these controllers and upselling them for twice or three times the price. The original price is $80, so if the price is higher than that, DO NOT BUY IT. Buy it direct from PlayStation or find another retailer that doesn’t allow custom listings above MSRP
This controller was super hard to obtain with many other retailers. Wal-Mart made it easy, it arrived at my house on release date. Good packaging and there's a huge market for this limited edition controller. Whether you keep it or sell it, this is one of the coolest controllers sony has ever launched
good controller. i got it for my son for Xmas. expensive considering the eyes are just painted on and it's exactly the same as a normal controller just cost $50 more
I ordered the Astro Bot controller as pre-order and at time of purchase it said “In Stock,” arriving by release date on September 6. Tracking on 9/6 showed that it hadn’t even been processed yet and after contacting customer service I learned that it is back ordered and will automatically cancel if not found in stock within 10 days. Just disappointing that Walmart wasn’t more transparent about product availability. Saying that it’s in stock when it really isn’t and then not providing an update about being delayed and possibly canceled is misleading. Customer service was helpful in letting me know, glad I have clarity and can reset my expectations for the order. Posting this review in case other people who pre-ordered are confused.
I have nit receiver the controller. I cannot make an actuate rating on quality, just an assumption. Disappointed it has not been delivered in time. Customer service was very helpful, however I did have to reach out to customer service to find out it was delayed before getting a notification.
I placed an order on August 9th ( Order%23 2000121-42246499) for a preorder. This was supposed to be a birthday gift for a loved one. I waited an entire month to be told yesterday that I will not receive my order at all. I was told by the customer service rep to just cancel the order and reorder it. I originally paid 80 dollars for the item and now the same item is listed on Walmart's website for 160 dollars. How do you expect your customers to pay double for the same item? I should be given the item for free after waiting a whole month for it. I have been a customer of Walmart for almost 10 years now. Now I will not be able to give my loved one the gift that I had promised him. This is very poor customer service and bad business. I will not be using Walmart again for any pre-orders and will file more complaints with Corporate.
My review specifically addresses my issues when trying to receive this item from Walmart. I pre-ordered my item on 8/29/24 on Walmart's website. The item was supposed to be delivered by 09/06/24 on 09/06/24 I received a system update saying my item was delayed and that I should receive a notification so I should check back. I checked the website 9/09/24 with no updates about my order. I called customer service to see if they could see anything on their end and no new updates were available so a service ticket (help desk) was put in for my order and I was informed I should receive a reply within 48 hours. I never got a a response to my issue so I attempted to cancel my order on 9/12/24 through the website. I checked on Friday, 9/13 to see my cancelation was still in a pending status at which point I called customer service for the second time. The service person canceled my order again while I was on the phone. After such a poor experience I decided to check in on my cancelation status today, 9/16 only to see my cancelation is still in a pending status. I called customer service for the third time to have the service person tell me they could have escalated my issue to a department that can manually cancel orders when there is a system issue but it will take another 48 hours before I receive communication related to my cancelation. This is hands down the worse online ordering experience and I've had items delivered to the wrong address, damaged, and stolen. I'm done doing business with this organization. And the funniest part is all of this could have all been resolved with a simple email update or someone checking to make sure my order/cancelation wasn't just sitting in the system.
The box was beat up, the controller was open and dirty! I will keep it because I can’t deal with this terrible experience any longer and my son will enjoy nonetheless. But after preordering - not receiving, being forced to cancel and buy at a higher price id hope for a lot more Walmart just lost my trust,
Seller never shipped it. I don't know if customer service cam contact them, but I'd like to know where my item is. (I'd like to note both people I've chatted with were great. My dissatisfaction stems from 3rd party people being able to sell and apparently scam on the site.
Showed a date it should have arrived which is why I ordered it. It didn't arrive on time and left the country. It cost me another $100 to get this shipped back out again. I would never have ordered if it was going to be late. It didn't say should arrive, it said will arrive. Appalling customer service not happy this cost me more money due to not promising delivery on when I purchased the item.
